My mom does the same thing, honestly. When mothers are losing an argument, are wrong, or have nothing else to say, they’ll pull out the following Mommy Comebacks: (this also includes actions, not just comebacks)
- “I carried you for nine months, little (insert gender)!”
- “SHUT THE HELL UP!” or the holy way, “SHUT UP!”
- “I am your mom (or mother) and will NOT talk back to me!”
- “Shut up and stop talking back!”
- “I don’t wanna hear it! Now get out of my face and stop talking back!”
- “DON’T TALK BACK TO ME!”
- “I gave you life!”
- Or they’ll bring the father into it and get you into massive trouble. My mom enjoys it when I'm in trouble with my dad though. I’ve actually seen the bitch smile while it happens. She doesn’t care though. But I know it’ll happen over and over again until the day I’m old enough to move out. Even so, that’s a long while away, bro.
- They’ll bring a class that you’re failing into the argument. Other topics are grades in a certain subject (mostly math) that you’re getting low grades in, (or just school in general) even when it has nothing to do with anything that’s going on. Also, let me know if there are more things that they say.
(answer, finally) Just let your mom have her way. Moms are unfair and rude and sadly, there’s nothing we can do. It’s either shut up or get smacked with a piece of leather that’s meant for holding up your pants. You just gotta suck it up and be a big kid, (even though “big kids” don’t even act their age and are immature as heck) my dude. It’s gonna hurt every once and a while but you’ll probably just give up, not care, and go along with life. Just try not to take it personally. Besides, moms are just as childish as we are. They’ll literally get mad at you and threaten you over losing an argument. Doesn’t sound like an adult to me… Moms on Quora who do this, here’s a message for ya:
