I remember this case. Even with all the ongoing daily Russian terror, this one stood out in its senseless brutality.

Tetyana had been protesting peacefully against the Russian occupation of her hometown Skadovsk and as a “punishment”, the Russians dragged her out of her house and hanged her in public.

It is extremely difficult (but also of utmost importance) that we keep our humanity whenever we hear about such cases. Of course, this is not easy: if we as “outsiders” have difficulties doing this, how much harder it has to be for the Ukrainians?

Still, if the Ukrainians were to start doing the same ugly things the Russians do, they would not only lose the support of the free world but also the legitimacy of their struggle. What is there to fight for when your own side isn't better than your enemy, when they’re the same monsters?

In addition, who wants to live in a country, although liberated and independent, where human rights are completely disrespected?

This doesn't mean, however, that (as the question suggests) we shouldn't kill all the Russian soldiers in Ukraine. They are fair game and have the choice: either surrender, go back to Russia, or die.
