Skinny legs. Or thin pencil legs.

Nope. Not born with that.

Despite being a runner and people thinking runners have skinny legs, I ended up being bottom heavy.

It has made me feel self conscious before. Friends like to point them out too. "Oh look at her legs, dude."

Skinny jeans are a struggle. When I hit peak training weight, so does my legs with its muscles. I have got thighs that spill to the side when I sit. Thighs that have to say hi to each other when they walk side by side.

Oh bother. They say eat less carbs so it wont go straight to my thighs. And chocolates.

But I am Asian, dude. Rice is life.

And PMS is coming up. Chocolate is lifesaver ok?

Carbs or skinny legs? Hurmmmm…-

Edit: thank you for the kind words, everyone. I used to be self conscious about this feature of mine, but to be honest nowadays it does not bother me that much. It's just that sometimes, you look at others looking fine in skinny jeans and you wonder and wonder and wonder…

Not that it stops me from wearing one by the way. But we all want things we don't have.

I remember a conversation while trail running with a friend; told him I don't weight myself anymore. As long as I'm running fast, I couldn't give much crap about my weight.

That's how I look at my legs now: well hey there muscular legs, run faster would ya?

Even if its as big as The Hulk's thighs, why do I care if I can run up the hill faster than everyone else in a race? I think playing sports makes me accept my body better than anyone else who looks at it.

Oh she has thunder thighs!

Me: eh, thunder thighs propel me faster. See ya at the top!

In honour of thunder thighs, I love you.

Edit 2: lol, I hear ya girls. I know, I know. In the 90s and early 2000s where Kate Moss is considered as the epitome of chic, our thunder thighs are shamed and goes into oblivion.

Then come 2010s where rap stars sing about appreciation for thick thighs and popularity of Kim Kardashian rear..-

And now you win the lottery out of sudden. That actually makes me laugh when some guys pointed out to me "damn girl, your behind so fine". Now that it's trendy to be thicc it's fine.

But growing up, I gotta say it's painful when people keep pointing it out to you and making you feel as if you're not ideal or normal for thunder thighs, wide rear and thick legs.

Not to mention the popularity of crossfit girls. Damn their thighs. Damn it girrrrrlllll.
