My history teacher is also the principal. She’s the most strict teacher and she holds a very high standard when teaching us. Short story, one of the assignments that we were told to do was to make a map with pin-points on the important places (major trade lines, cultural places, kingdoms, etc). We submitted it and since she gave us a pop quiz, she had a chance to correct the assignment in front of us. She got super pissed because we were all doing it wrong. Some students pin-pointed the wrong location, some used a stretched out map, making the locations inaccurate, and some (including me) didn’t even do the research and instead copied the location pin-points from another students. For context, it was the end of the school year and there was a huge amount of workload, especially when it comes to her subject. The class decided to divide into 3 groups and each group did 1/3 of the workload that was given.

The teacher then started yelling at us, telling us we were disappointments and that we were lazy, and to make it worse, she called the geography teacher (who is one if not the best teachers that I’ve ever met in my opinion) and started blaming him for our incompetency on making accurate maps. The geography teacher was humiliated, that was obvious, and yet he never blamed us and kept teaching us normally. From that day, the history teacher lost my respect. If you do want to critique your colleague, please don’t do it in front of us. For me, it’s not inappropriate and if I were the geography teacher, aside from being embarrassed I would also be angry due to how unprofessional the whole thing was.
