He’s insanely strong.
Dante is extremely fucking broken when it comes to videogame characters, when most people are asked to mention strong videogame characters, they would usually mention someone like Kratos, Asura and of course Doomslayer, but let me tell you something: Dante is way more powerful than them, and he’s been pretty underrated as of late, so let me show you how truly strong this devil hunter really is.
Let’s start right off the bat with something from within the verse; Demon King Tier characters.
What are Demon King Tier characters?
Demon King Tier characters are demons that are, obviously, far stronger beings than most demons in Devil May Cry, take Mundus or Argosax for example.
This is Mundus.
And this is Argosax.
You know what’s one thing these two have in common? (Besides from fitting in the Demon King Tier perfectly within the verse of course)
They are both Outerversal beings.
But how are they Outerversal?
Great question, well, allow me to introduce you to the complexity of the Devil May Cry verse.
Mundus is a personification of a jungian archetype, that’s the meaning of his name, Carl Jung is even referenced in this wording (Referring to the Unus Mundus archetype).
https://jungcurrents.com/synchronicity-unus-mundusThe reason this is important, is because this is supposed to be taken literally, because demons use their literal names, as power.
So we’ve already established a connection between DMC and jungian theory.
The tree of life in jungian theories is heavily similar to the quilphoth in DMC, but this isn’t enough to make an entire basis off.
Still, these are referred to as dimensionless, so we would’ve already reached outer with csap terms, but I’ll continue.
Argosax is referred to as the demonic ruler rivaling the strength of Mundus.
He is also referred to as a alchemical and perfect, everlasting being multiple times.
To elaborate more on this, both are inherently dualistic.
One representing a jungian archetype, and the other one representative of a platonic concept, through cross reference back with Mundus and going through platos definition of a platonic concept, this meta is consistent.
This is spectacularly consistent and shown multiple times in DMC italic.
Platonic concepts are atemporal, this is also consistent with DMC’s narrative multiple times.
The dark body, which was thought to never take damage, groaned and shuddered in pain.
"That's a good voice. Give me more."
Fierce gunshots roared, and countless bullets turned into arrows of light that ran through the Demon King.
The mere balls of lead that weren't anything special made even the supposed overwhelming being that is the Demon King suffer in pain, hurting him and even eventually cause him to creep away.
But of course, the Demon King wasn't just going to sit back and let himself be beaten.
His countless arms swung down swords, rained down arrows of demonic power, and fired bolts of lightning, all in an attempt to bury the insolent challenger.
"You are naive, Mundus. I already know what you're capable of."
As he said that, Dante's footwork was light and he ran through the empty space, avoiding most of the attacks.
Furthermore, his counterattacks were painfully delivered upon the Demon King, inflicting fatal wounds.
The Demon King, Mundus, could not understand this.
He was supposed to be an absolute being, an eternal ruler free from even the flow of time, and to rule over all things in creation.
Yet now, here was an opponent who had power that could rival his--
Nay, perhaps this opponent is even more powerful than he is.
Lastly, we have already proved they are outerversal by csap standards, so I’ll use alephs to prove they fit VSBW’s definition too.
Platonic forms are abstract objects in the context of Stanford's encyclopedia of Philosphy and the aleph numbers are ordinal numbers as per transfinite arithmetic and those "abstract objects" are denoted by those "ordinal numbers" hence alephs scale to Platonism making them Outer to Outer+
So we’ve already inferred that Argosax is defined exactly as a platonic concept, dualistic to a jungian archetype, and this meta being consistent.
There’s not much more we can even possibly discuss about this part at this point, since all of this has put DMC under both major definitions of Outerversal, on VS Battles Wiki, and Character Stats And Profiles Wiki, the mainly regarded sites.
So in conclusion to one portion of Dante’s scaling, every demon in DMC that reaches ‘Demon King Tier’ fits under both definitions of Outerversal.
Way stronger than what you had initially thought, right? Well, you better keep hanging onto this post, I’m not even halfway done yet!
Let’s get into a very critical part of the verse, that being; The downplay, this is also an important part for Dante’s scaling, so don’t even try to skip this.
This is something that needs to be addressed because I’ve seen many people who have been downplaying the DMC verse a lot as of late, especially on sites like Youtube, so for those struggling with DMC downplay and for those that want to scale DMC a little bit better, you'll want to tune into the following compilation of scans and walls of texts.
Now first we have to establish one thing: all souls are 9D in DMC "It continues to hide mysteries that humans and demons don't understand, mysteries but every human has such." This is an undeniable fact and one that both humans and demons have with it being especially true for humans since this scan addresses human souls in particular (although all souls should scale, but we'll get there).
Now what some of you were or might be confused about was on this scan which addresses Demon's and in particular the name system they operate under.
The power of a name.
From the moment of their birth, names are one of the most sacred things to demons. They represent not only power, but also the concept of their own existence, the basic principles of which predate even the creation of the demon world itself.
It manifests itself as part of the soul that forms them, and their dark hearts
Now lets analyze this quote closely, "The power of a name. From the moment of their birth, names are one of the most sacred things to demons.”
They represent not only power, but also the concept of their own existence, the basic principles of which predate even the creation of the demon world itself. It manifests itself as part of the soul that forms them, and their dark hearts." Notice how names are the thing that predates creation and that's because demons are a conceptual makeup of reality's basic principles given a physical form thanks to their names; a conceptual existence if you will. However, the name is just an aspect of the demon's soul and while it supplies them with power it has little to do with what makes a soul 9D since even human souls have this 9D feature and they do not operate by the aforementioned names system.
Now lets analyze another explanatory scan.
Pluto
As a demon lord with more power than his hunters, his speed is faster than theirs, allowing him to travel and bypass the dimensional axis of the time stream, giving the illusion of teleportation to the naked eye.
Any ignorant person who decides to confront him will immediately create an unshakable destiny in which the souls of his victims will be destroyed by his spear.
Pluto is credited with being able to do the following: "Any ignorant person who decides to confront him will immediately create an unshakable destiny in which the souls of his victims will be destroyed by his spear."
Now note how the focal point is his spear. Now I can already feel you saying that "well its the spear, not Pluto's power" but that in itself is a gross misunderstanding of the system of Demonic/magical power which all demons operate by.
All demons consistently operate by magical energy which they use to equip them with all their supernatural characteristics and this extends to even demon hybrids like Dante. Physique included.
Also the demon world has shown properties of being able to alter these 9D human souls effortlessly.
and hax that can effect 9D objects is 9D hax; it's that simple making the DW a 9D+ construct at least and characters that scale beneath relevant versions of Dante can physically destroy the whole place with no effort like Nightmare.

V1: The Underworld
The demon king is said to have created a powerful weapon that he even feared would destroy his own kingdom, and sealed his power to stop it. With his immense great power, he could effortlessly lift the entire structure of the underworld or destroy it. Only a being comparable to her creator could surpass his strength. A weapon would be a nightmare for any entity, living or dead.
V2: Underworld
The Demon is said to have created a powerful weapon he even feared would destroy his own kingdom, sealing his power to stop it. With his great power, he could effortlessly lift the entire structure of the underworld or destroy it. Only an existence comparable to her creator can surpass his intensity. A weapon will become a nightmare for any entity, whether alive or dead.
V3: In the underworld, the demon king is said to have created a powerful weapon he feared would destroy his own kingdom, sealing his power to stop it. With his great, great power, he could lift the entire structure of the underworld without difficulty or destroy it. Only an existence comparable to that of her creator can exceed its intensity. A weapon would be a nightmare for any entity, alive or dead.
Nightmare:
To be honest, I'm at a loss in judging whether I should consider this sticky dark monster as a kind of demon.
It is a biological weapon of the Demon World that the Demon Emperor completed with all his heart and soul, its thought circuits and ability are all created solely for the purpose of killing an adversary.
However, as a result, it seems that an evil killing machine that even the creator did not anticipate was created, becoming a dangerous existence who could play a role in the stability of the Demon World if its powers were to be released indefinitely.
So, the Demon Emperor was in a big hurry and at the moment when this guy was arranged, a restraining tool was placed to suppress its movement──that was the reason why a set of restraint patterns that generate a forcefield by linking with eight emblems was set.
Certainly, the unrestrained Nightmare's power was terrifying, and its gel-like body does not accept any attacks.
In addition, it creates a different world inside it which can be called a subspace, exerting a truly nightmare ability to cast the "shadow" of the demon that was created from the memory of the opponent who was pulled in it.
If you could call it a restraint pattern, it wasn't an easy victory and its defense instinct increases and its body hardens, attacking with a variety of attacks like a military weapon. I wish this guy would run off and have the Demon World perish!
Also in consideration of the above where demonic power increases AP, hax, etc. based on the same system.
Mundus created an Infinitely Expanding Universe.
From DMC1 Precious Tears Memorial Album released in 2004:
ムンドゥスが翼を羽ばたかせると、神殿はー瞬にしてその存在を失い、世界は星の海に包まれた。広大な宇宙にただ両者のみが対時する。
“As Mundus flapped his wings, the temple ceased to exist in an instant and the world was enveloped in a sea of stars. In the vastness of the universe, only two people faced each other.”
Also from Precious Tears:
心身の深遠なる場から魔力解き放ち、ダンテはその身を魔人に変視させた。地を蹴り、無限に広がる暗黒の空へ飛び立つ。その深皃工の瞳に、ただ魔帝の暗灰色の姿のみを映して。人知を超えた領域で伝説の戦いがいま始まった。
"Unleashing the magic power from the profound field of his mind and body, Dante transformed his body into a demon. He kicked the ground and took off into the infinitely expanding dark sky. In his deep diamond eyes, he saw only the dark gray figure of the Demon Emperor. In a realm beyond human comprehension, a legendary battle has now begun."
OR
"Unleashing his magic from the deepest places of his mind and body. Dante transformed his body into a demon. He kicked the earth and took off into the dark sky that stretched endlessly. In that crimson evasion. The only reflection of the demon emperor's dark gray figure in his crimson aperture. In the mirror realm beyond human knowledge, the legendary battle has now begun."
Word of God confimation over 11 years later.
More WoG linking back to the above tweet.
Even more WoG but in Japanese.
"The former... RT xephfyre Kamiya-san, I have a question about DMC: In the final boss battle of DMC1, is the dimension Mundus was created in the same size as the entire universe of this world? Is it the same size as the entire universe, or is it a smaller dimension contained within the castle?"
Now in confronting the common counterarguments:
1. If DMC is so powerful; why don't they show it on screen?
This is coming from the same people who believe Goku gets progressively stronger, but doesn't have even a single planet-star level feat that's purely onscreen in the Cell Saga. If you've got problems with fiction not always playing it straight then why even read fiction; afterall, it portrays a fantastical reality that may or may not be 100% 1-1 with ours. All powerscaling is attempting to do is participate in narrative analysis to try to hypothesize the likely results of how strong a character would be if put in a real life setting like ours based on what they're narratively suggested and what they demonstrate visually.
2. PoC is some side game from China: of course it isn't canon?
First off, the idea that a company from Japan cannot cooperate with a company in China reeks of racism to begin with. Secondly:
https://www.nebulajoy.com/news/67.html?lang=cnDevil May Cry-Battle at the Peak" is a ORDTHODOX SEQUEL to Devil May Cry developed by Yunchang Games and the in-depth participation of the official team of CAPCOM Devil May Cry. The story of this work takes place between Devil May Cry 3 and Devil May Cry 1, filling the gap in the plot between the two works. In the game, players will have the opportunity to operate the characters in "Devil May Cry 3" to fight against the classic BOSS of the past. In addition, this work has more original designs added, and a new and different world is waiting for you to explore!"
Not to mention that Capcom licensed this game with multiple attestations to this in each article. Lastly, as my friend above mentioned; the canonicity is no issue since the narrative fits in perfectly.
In other words you just gonna have to cope; especially with this official trademark that came out.
3. Now in getting to the most egregious arguments we start with the argument that Nightmare's supposed ability to destroy the underworld only refers to his ability to defeat every demon (besides Mundus/other demon kings) easily. However, when analyzing the scans speaking to this matter a different story is told.
Now what ties each of these scans together is that there is no mention of armies or anything of the sort. Furthermore, in the PoC scan there's noticeable emphasis on Nightmare's ability to lift the Underworld and that wouldn't make any logical sense linguistically speaking if it were not referring to the structure of the underworld as a whole.
4. Lastly, the most egregious is the idea that the Nightmare scan from PoC (imgur.com) insinuates that this is mere heresy with the terms "it is said" unfortunately, however, a few things stand against that interpretation. Firstly, if one part of what proceeds after it is said is deemed fictional we can cast doubt on the entire account, but unfortunately, Visions of V disagrees and calls the account real. Secondly, there are multiple scans attesting to this feat. Trying to cast doubt on this invokes Hitchens razor and Occam's razor to shred counterarguments with a quickness.
5. 9 dimensional doesn't necessarily have to equate to the mathematical sense: To that I appeal to the law of common knowledge. Simply look up the word dimensional with numbers 1-7 next to it. I guarantee the first thing that comes up is mathematical dimensions. In fact I'll do you one better and help you out with that on the first few (you can look up the rest yourself).
And if you have any objections, my good friends Hitchens, Sagan, and Occam would be happy to tell you why you're wrong.
6. How can 9D objects exist in a human body; wouldn't they chuckles explode?
I don't think I need to tell you that souls are nonphysical and take up no space. And before you act like nonphysicality nullifies the scaling; note that Demons are naturally souls that can effect physicality given their makeup. As such any Demon that destroys souls scales and if you can't dig that once again Occams, Sagan, and Hitchens will sit you down and tell you why this interpretation sticks.
7. Well I guess Lady's 9D now?
Demon hunters
Humans have been engaged in this profession since ancient times, endangering their lives because there are no weapons in this world that can harm demons.
Human ingenuity has led hunters to create the best and only method that exists to harm and kill demons, creating strange weapons made of materials from the underworld.
Fight fire with fire.
Human weapons don't work on demons; either you need to be a demon (full or otherwise) or have weapons made from these kind of materials.
So this puts an end to any common misconceptions some of you may have with Devil May Cry, but tossing this aside, let’s get to the real deal.
Before this though, let’s go back to something real quick.
Akin to the latin etymology of the term Mundus which means one world, Unus Mundus refers to the idea that all things are in essence tied together at some level with one aspect of reality being our physical (material) universe which is underpinned by those higher realities composed of the psychological/spiritual:
https://jungcurrents.com/synchronicity-unus-mundusNow this sounds strangely similar to a certain concept in DMC being the Demon World which is the birthplace of the concepts of souls, memory, life, etc.
and is a realm where literal ideas (concepts since demons are walking, talking concepts https://imgur.io/a/1rWHsM8) are born and demons grow based on self-actualization or psychological desire (case and point, the furies)
Additionally, the demon realm is the birthplace of all religious thought in DMC as the gods of all religions stem from the Demon World. Furthering the similarities, Mundus is a being that seeks to bring synchronicity (the literal definition of his name) to the already separated demon (psychological/spiritual) and mortal realms.
If anything the only way to truly tie both the psychological and mortal realms in the exact same place according to Jung himself is via a numinous experience.
Numinous referring to the religious, supernatural, or beyond the norm and where does that happen in DMC...oh yes when demons encounter humans of course as in the case of the demons who encountered mortal beings who reverenced and worshipped them.
Numinous also speaks to how magic which is literally copied from the Demonworld and is of essence from the demonworld is utilized by humans who are normally material in nature short of their souls/minds (DMC Souls) which are also technically copyrighted from the demonworld/psychological realm as well (XD).
Now if this is not enough lets do another deep dive into DMC names and how they grant power to demons as a bare minimum benefit: https://imgur.io/a/1rWHsM8
"The power of a name. From the moment of their birth, names are one of the most sacred things to demons. They represent not only POWER, but also the concept of their own existence..."
To put it blatantly the term "POWER" when not relating to an ultra-specific function (i.e. the description of Yamato having the power to slice dimensions https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H_wM7vGobog&t=57s at 5:32) blatantly refers to AP, Strength, or Potency as exemplified with Arkham, Vergil, Nero, Sid/Abigail, Sanctus, and a myriad of other characters. Not just to one's abilities or bag of tricks. If that has been the case Vergil would say quotes like you will fear this devil's powers/abilities or I need more powers/abilities. Even Dante defines "POWER" (without an ultra specific purpose) as AP/Potency in his speech to Abigail, Urizen, his agreement with Vergil's definition of it when talking about how Arkham cannot control the power of Sparda, his remark about Vergil's cutting of his son's arm for more power, etc. Differing proofs of people using the term power for AP.
Arkham’s speech.
Dante and Vergil vs Arkham.
Vergil says “I need more POWER.”
Very consistent narrative here, and even if Mundus is canonically credited with dying here
or here
it simply means the realms revert back to a normal unfused state. In fact its especially poignant with the deaths of these two specifically when considering what concepts they represent versus the portal the Qlipthoth opened which logically scales under Mundus but still had to be sealed with the additional step of the Yamato after destroying its roots since the Qlipthoth does not represent the Jungian Archetype of synchronicity between the two realms. Hence, why the distortion it caused doesn't stop after the roots are cut whereas with the Demon King Mundus here, the distortion stops near immediately even though Mundus scales over the Qlipthoth since he had obtained its power prior.
Going against Mundus's scaling to Jungianism is to go against not only the implicit value of Jungianism in scaling, but also goes against the narrative and literature of DMC as a whole.
And before you state "Mundus can't be High Outer-Boundless because DMC is a 9D cosmology" let me direct your attention back to the cosmology's details.
i.e. how souls being 9D objects return to "a higher dimension beyond the eightfold path" which we recognize as Nirvana. But the issue is that off the bat given how DMC has multiple proofs of multiple sets of infinite souls in existence within the DW (which Nirvana would create) we have to assume that Nirvana is infinite 9D at least. Furthermore, Nirvana is only one realm amongst possibly uncountable realms in the expansive DW. Said DW has no numerical limits on the cosmology which were immediately attached to it unlike Nirvana. And it's not like Nirvana is some really special place in the DW since no Demon Kings pay it any mind. Even Mundus when he became one with the DW in the alternate timeline did not give two flying you know whats about Nirvana. In fact the focal point of the narrative atm was that he was the nexus of energy in the DW in general meaning Nirvana is just a drop of water there. Additionally, Mundus already scales above the cosmology due to him scaling well over Nightmare who can oneshot the cosmology.
So no, you can't use the "cosmology" excuse to debunk Mundus's scaling. Also you can't argue that their bodies/forms must perfectly reflect the principle they represent for the scaling to be legit as per this scan.
which demonstrates that the name and its definition is far more fundamental for demons. In fact, names are a piece of a demon's soul rather than their body and while their name inevitably informs some details of what their bodies will look like it's not the sole determiner going by the example of the furies who already existed, but willed themselves to have the new bodies/abilities which they currently possess.
What demons inherit from their names are power and some features pertaining to aesthetics for their basic forms on account of the name's influence akin to children inheriting from their family's with the children being the demons and the family being the concept they model themselves after. In fact one could say it's more accurate to surmise demons as conceptual existences (at the name level) modeled after these principles as opposed to being the principles themselves. However, since they derive all the power from these principles predating creation one can almost define them as being the exact same thing.
In either case, Mundus would still scale to Jungianism as a consequence of what has been stated above as pertaining to the names system even if he himself isn't 'exactly' or doesn't seem 'exactly' like the Jungian archetype of the same name.
"What now then?", you may be asking. Well as consequence of the above, we can conclude that Mundus scales to Jungian archetypes which as discussed previously would scale from High Outer to Boundless. I know I said Outer before when I did something similar at the start of the post, but looking further into it mid-answer, I can definitely say that this can be scaled way higher.
Now for something else: The argument on the basis of the Christian/Catholic/Abrahamic Pantheon possibly scaling to Apophatic theology in DMC: Now do note that as a Christian while this argument may seem sensitive it's not something that's cause for offense: To quote Isaiah 55 "neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts."
Essentially because apophatic theology/CAI are merely human contemplations of God that can't search the depths of God they don't do Him justice
And I'll throw in this from 1 Corinthians 2: "But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. 11 For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. 12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God."
That's my view on scaling CAI and Apophatic theology in that these are attempts to conceptualize what God's power is like rather than a summary of what it realistically is before I dive into it. Now moving forward.
So here, we know that the Vatican exists in DMC and the biblical figures exist physically in the verse, and have actual form.
It even extends to the Norse mythology and so on.
Cantor linked his absolute infinity with god, being the monotheistic Christian one.
"The same god that would physically exist in DMC as Cantor was a Christian. So this god in DMC would scale to cantor’s absolute infinity" given that's the best attempt mankind has at conceptualizing God's power (even if it doesn't do it justice) and Dante is not>omnipotent so this is the best we can do with reconciling this given how names/power works in DMC amongst demons https://imgur.io/a/1rWHsM8.
As of DMC2, Argosax should be stronger than literally everyone in the verse.
And that ends that, two angles to scale DMC god tiers to Boundless.
Dante is obviously a god tier within the verse and has kept himself on this position pretty consistently.
Now we go to the fun part that all of you were waiting for, the scaling:
For Strength:
Dante defeated Nightmare, who as I have already proven, can lift the Demon World and also destroy it, and pizza man beat his ass so he should be easily able to physically replicate the same things that Nightmare can do and has done and on a much greater/bigger/larger scale, especially taking current Dante into account.
The Demon Realm has a different flow of time.
The Demon Realm also has its own space-time continuum.
Demon Realm is also 9D at the very least because of this scan that I’ve already milked the living shit out of.
The Soul
It continues to hide mysteries that humans and demons don't understand, mysteries but every human has such.
A basic nine-dimensional form, generally speaking, it originates from and returns to a higher dimension beyond the Eightfold Path.
It not only contains the mind and memory, but also contains all the information of the body and its ancestors since ancient times.
So this gives Dante Immeasurable Strength on a 9D scale at bare minimum.
Which scales him to the high end of the Complex Multiversal level.
But wait! Remember when I said that as of DMC2, that Argosax was pretty much above the entire verse?
Yeah Dante smoked his ass, this gives him at the very least Immeasurable levels of Strength on a High Outer to Boundless scale as I’ve already scaled Argosax to that level and way higher than that as I have already established far above, so High Outer to Boundless. Same thing for Durability, Attack Potency and Destructive Capability, so there goes 4 points already simultaneously covered in one scale.
Something to note about Dante’s Endurance and Durability: Dante's regeneration far exceeds that of Nelo Angelo/Vergil(DMC1), who survived absolute existence erasure in DMC1 (Nelo angelo boss fight 3). He also instantly regenerated being cut in half, and is absolutely unflinched by any move in Sin Devil Trigger, including Vergil’s attacks, which cut through anything, even space and time, while Dante can heal from these attacks instantly in SDT.
Demons
Creatures that have existed since before the creation of the human world, spawned by the primordial chaos that preceded reality and formed by the demon world.
All but the weakest demons do not care what they lose, their bodies, their names, their souls or everything, as long as they persist they can regenerate and continue fighting without rest.
So Dante has high godly regeneration, which gives him extreme Endurance.
Now for Speed: Remember this scan?
This scan right here implies that Pluto straight up bypasses the Time Axis through sheer speed, which scales it to immeasurable speed.
And as we all know, Dante kept up with Pluto and pretty much bullied that fucker to death.
So Dante has Immeasurable Speed very easily. One thing to note is that Dante is extremely agile as well; he’s able to jump to great heights or even balance himself on a flying rocket, as well as run up vertical walls. In addition, his agility allows him to perform amazing feats of acrobatics that easily surpass even the finest human acrobat, so Dante has extreme Agility.
Let’s go over some of his Abilities and Haxes now:

Dante has pre-cog, he can read an adapt in his fight with Vergil.
“You're like an open book. I can read your ever move. Too easy!
This is further evidenced on his fight with Gilver where they were reading each others movements.
He also has analytical prediction, he shot the white billard and it hit all to billard ball and it richoteded to 3 demons.
Dante also kicked Echidna's balls and ricocheted to the forest hitting her.
Dante can also react faster than he can think.
This sense of darkness was similar to the one he felt at the Odds Club--a heavy hint of another world, but its density was different.
He felt an oppressive feeling suffocating him as if he were squeezed into cement just before it hardened.
(Do demons or snakes come out? ...Whoa! I'm getting the shivers here.)
This was no lie as he felt my hands shaking.
It was not from fear but from a different emotion.
Daaaannteeeeeee.
As soon as he heard the familiar voice, Tony kicked the ground with blinding speed and threw himself forward.
He reacted faster than he could think, surrendering to his reflexes alone.
Something invisible swept through the space where his body had existed just a few tenths of a second before.
Tony's eyes were fixed on something that would never be seen by the average person yet only he can see clearly.
"A mask? No way!"
It was true.
Dante has his signature Ebony and Ivory too.
Ebony and Ivory can’t run out of bullets.
These two bitches literally evaporated Gilver, molecule to molecule until there was no atom left, his armor also exploded.
It can also seal demons away.
Dante has Quicksilver, it sends a dimensional time-rift that slows down time, it also makes him faster. So pretty much Time Manipulation.
It can also work on Demons.
Quicksilver can work on guys resistant to time manipulation. Since Demons are unaffected in the Demon World which can stop the flow of time.
As I’ve already proven countless times, the Demon World is a universe, meaning it can stop time at a universal scale.
More Time Manipulation. Dante can stop time with The Bangle Of Time.
Dante also has Fear Manipulation and Empathic Manipulation, he made Demons fall to fear and despair.
Ice, Fire, and Lightning Manipulation with King Cerberus.
Fire and Wind Manipulation with Agni and Rudra.
Sound Manipulation, Electricity Manipulation and Bat Manipulation with Nevan.
Hellfire Manipulation with Balrog.
Immune to Hellfire when fighting Berial.
Light Manipulation with Pandora. It can also shoot a bunch of missiles.
Summon spikes with Lucifer.
With Gilgamesh he does a one inch punch that destroyed a hellgate.
And then Karate chops one.
With Beowulf he can create a small supernova.
Hellfire Manipulation with Ifrit.
Lightning Manipulation with Alastor
Alastor also gives him Lightning Speed, but he’s way past that level of speed so it’s kinda irrelevant.
Alastor also gives him Aerial Capabilities.
Duplication/Shadow Manipulation with doppelganger.
Matter Erasure and possible E Erasure while in Sin Devil Trigger.
Now for Intelligence: Dante is surprisingly gifted in this area.
While seemingly cocky and laidback in his approach to battle, Dante is an amazingly skilled Devil Hunter, having mastered all sorts of Devil Arms on top of being a master swordsman and marksman who can accurately shoot targets from virtually impossible angles and hack his way through the armies of Hell with the barest of effort.
He seems to be a quick learner, mastering the Devil Arms he acquires within moments of obtaining them and quickly getting the hang of utilizing his various Styles and Devil Triggers.
As a Demon Slayer, he also has extensive knowledge of the Demon World and its residents. He is also a very skilled actor, musician, athlete and dancer.
An often overlooked aspect about Dante's abilities is his analytical skills. He showcases these skills in the form of a talent for reading people; he accurately assessed that the seemingly gentle Modeus was interested in killing him for his soul, and that Modeus was going to try to take revenge against him for killing Baul.
He's also easily deduced and figured out the Familiars' intentions to atone during Mission 18 of Devil May Cry 5.
As described by the alternate universe version of Shadow, Dante has a sharp mind, able to instantly understand the true power extent of Mundus' generals in the alternate universe and that they got enough power to form an independent government to oppose the Demon King.
He also displayed a great knowledge about magic, as he easily figured out the magic used by the alternate Trish. He also solved a handful of puzzles throughout his adventures.
Now for Battle IQ: Also very gifted, as he is able to develop advanced fighting strategies and techniques within holding a weapon for a few seconds, and knows thousands of martial art techniques that put him above the raw brutality of ripping apart demons with bare hands, and going into a fight without a plan. Also found in gameplay, specifically the numerous weapon introduction cutscenes.
Overall Combat and Skill: Extremely skilled in many areas.
He's very skilled in Hand-to-Hand Combat, while using gauntlet weapons, Dante has been shown to be highly proficient at hand-to-hand combat, using various martial arts techniques, including Bruce Lee's one-inch punch. He is also capable of defeating lesser demons completely unarmed with little difficulty. In his second fight with Nero, Dante outclassed his nephew with solely hand-to-hand combat upon being disarmed, soundly knocking him down and taking Yamato from him.
He also has very good Weapon Proficiency, Dante is very proficient with a variety of weapons, including swords, scythes, gauntlets, and even unorthodox supernatural weapons. He displays an impressive ability to judge the capabilities of weapons almost as soon as he picks them up, so things like Swordsmanship and Marksmanship come to play in this category.
For Swordsmanship, this shouldn't really come up as a surprise, as it's Dante's primary fighting style. He is incredibly skilled with various types of swords including broadswords, katanas, and scimitars.
And as for Marksmanship, although he is aided by his superhuman precision in gunfights, Dante has an innate mastery of any firearm he comes in contact with. He is capable of shooting Ebony and Ivory in two different directions at once, and can aim with such accuracy that his bullets stack on the hilt of Yamato.
So for a quick summary of his stats:

So now that we have gone over Dante's scaling, it's now time to answer the long awaited question; How strong would he be if he was in DOOM?
He would be too strong, WAY TOO STRONG for the verse to handle.
Let's get into one of the core characters from within the DOOMverse; Davoth.
Now normally I would try and scale Davoth on my own, but Quora said that my answer was “too long” when I tried doing that, so I’m gonna have to link these instead.
To sum up Davoth's scaling, he's a Low Complex Multiversal being with Immeasurable 6D Strength, Immeasurable Speed and 6D Durability (If you actually want to know more of what he's capable of just read the links)
Now that we have scaled the top dog of DOOM's Hell, a question erodes from this; How would The Dark Lord fare against the Legendary Devil Hunter?
After reading and comparing the both of them side to side, the answer to this is way too obvious, Dante absolutely DESTROYS Davoth and there's nothing The Dark Lord can do to prevent this.
Hell may be transcendent to 4D spacetime as a qualitative superiority and also be infinite in size
but DMC's Demon World far outclasses this as a whole as it is a 9D+ construct which has shown properties of being able to alter 9D human souls effortlessly, while also holding 9D demons along with walking, talking concepts.
Davoth may have created the DOOM metaverse
but DMC has living jungian archetypes and beings who can rival the strength of said archetypes and even surpass them, whereas Davoth himself is not even close to being on this level of power.
DMC also has characters who can not only lift an entire 9D+ construct, but have been known to be capable of destroying said construct.
DMC souls alone should already be above all of the DOOMverse on its entirety, as they are 9D as I have already stated and proven with this scan on multiple occassions on this post.
Upgrades aren't needed as Dante is casually already above DOOM as a whole, and with the variety of weapons, abilities and overall combat skills, he would undoubtedly vaporize just about any demon that comes into his way with zero effort, even the Icon Of Sin and Davoth would get obliterated instantly as they do not have what it takes to match Dante's extreme levels of demonic power.
Hell does not stand a chance, Dante casually destroys it like it's a whim of air and goes on to decimate the DOOMverse as a whole.
Pizza man soloes DOOM with negative difficulty.
