My boss didn’t want me to meet face to face with clients because I was too fat and ugly. (His words). He had a pretty girl who knew nothing meet with them and she kept coming back to me to get answers. Client finally said I want to talk to who you keep going to for answers. I walked my fat ugly self to the meeting and sold the event. However my boss walked in and was livid. The client quickly told him he was ready to walk before I stepped in. Can’t say it helped the situation with my boss but my ego got a boost. I may not be petite and beautiful but neither was he.
