Where do I start?
I’m a huge financial nerd, and have spent an embarrassing amount of time talking to people about their money habits.
Here are the biggest mistakes people are making and how to fix them:
Not having a separate high interest savings account
Having a separate account allows you to see the results of all your hard work and keep your money separate so you're less tempted to spend it.
Plus with rates above 5.00%, the interest you can earn compared to most banks really adds up.

How much do bands cost to hire?
Literally anywhere from nothing (for neighborhood kids willing to play for the practice, exposure, and chance to meet girls) to a million dollars (for a big-name pop act with full stage show).
You are going to have to be more specific.
How much have you got.
I know bands that will play for a bowl of chilli and a couple of beers.
On the other hand, I guess Taylor Swift might ask for a the thick end of a million dollars.

Probably something by Agustin Lara, like “Solamente La Vez” (You Belong To My Heart), “Noche de Ronda,” “Tesoro Mío,” or “Piensa en Mi.”
Other options might be "La Barca De Guaymas," “Tu Solo Tu,””Quizas, Quizas, Quizas,” or “Perfidia.”
Set your budget.
Research bands online or ask for recommendations.
Check their availability.
Discuss event details and preferences.
Get quotes and review contracts.
Book the band by signing the contract and paying any required deposits.
Coordinate logistics for the event.
Promote the event.
Enjoy the performance on the day of the event.
When booking bands for Scottish dance events in and around Edinburgh, I could expect to pay them…
Local gig Solo musician on off peak night 60–80 pounds, 100 if more than about 20 minutes drive to venue
Band on off peak-night 100 pounds a person for the evening
Friday/Saturday night. Add 50% and book well in advance.
That is with built up contacts, and co-ordinating set lists an appropriate degree in advance- days to weeks, depending on complexity. Without the contacts, add another 10% at least.
When it comes to hiring a good band, you'll have to decide on audiences prespective and not the employer.

You wouldn't want a bunch of hobbos in 1st week to music school students playing in your club. Any band's musical knowledge can be tested on the basis of their dedication and respect to their art. Lead singers vocal ranges, musician's playing techniques, synch and understanding between band members are a few stuff to scribe down.
Duo: Their presentation.
Secret to success of bands and that audience would go nuts for is their presentation. Their power and ability to compel audience using something mesmerising. This could be their interaction with audience, instruments playing techniques, vocals and so on.
At the end of the day you want your customers to be happy and audience expects good music. Hence, their presentation of music should be in such a way that it satisfies the audience. Or in a musicians language, “Touch their soul”.
Tre: Look for the grace
There are a gazillion of bands out there out which I have ...

For a non union date: Here's a FLOOR rate If the band is a regularly gigging regional or local outfit. This is for a group of live pro musicians who gig regularly and run a band as a business.
Do the following calculation
HOURS of travel time, set up playing, break down
times NUMBER of people in the band
times what you pay your plumber per hour
(plus cost of sound system rental if band doesn't pack sound - most pros do).
Travel GAS costs
= Total Band Cost
That's a FLOOR rate. I don't mean to say that musicians are plumbers. But individual pro players shouldn't be paid less than a plumber earns

That's a FLOOR rate. I don't mean to say that musicians are plumbers. But individual pro players shouldn't be paid less than a plumber earns per hour. Years of practice for no pay gets a musician to a level where he can hire his or her skills for live dates. He or she needs to make something for 1000's of hours of investment if it's actually their livelihood.
Any band can want to make more for their time depending on any number of factors I won't cover here.
The kind of venue dictates your cost a lot. Weddings? Search wedding bands and your town name on Google. You'll find outfits that cost thousands rise to the top of your search. They market hard and are usually great at covering a variety of material for young and old.
For those kind of dates, which can be union gigs if you're in a metro area, search your town plus "musicians union" to find your local chapter. Call them for rates, but don't let them feed you any bands. Their loccard rates can be used as a metric to compare a band's quote to.

You can place an ad that you are looking, go to a local talent agency and ask or go to a venue that the band is playing at and try to talk to them about playing for your wedding. Remember, they more than likely will have a set fee and all members of the band and crew will need to be included in your # of meals needed.

the problem is all the bands I just mentioned have very different sounds there is no unified sound for Spanish speaking countries because they are bands that just stock around, today drill and hiphop are way more popular than rock it seems we are at a low point for rock and all the hiphop producces is garbage so hopefully we will have a new sound in the coming years.
I’d say that this qualifies:
There was a band way back then called Baron Rojo. They were a Hard Rock band who made made some Awesome albums in the 1970’s. Loved that band. I had their vinyl albums in my collection.
I would rather suggest to give a chance to students or folks in your locality who are finding some stage to perform on.
Believe me they will give their 10000% as it's for themselves too !!!!! And not just money that matters!!!. That's where your job of finding a descent and dedicated band comes in. Spread a word and see who are ready to do anything to perform at your place. Some hard working band w

Ask around for recommendations. Live bands will cost more than hiring a DJ and will need to have breaks during their ‘sets’ so will probably play recorded music duro g that time. They will have a limited ‘set time’ and may not be able to play specific songs your guests may request. You will also have to provide them with food & drinks.
This really depends on what band you’re trying to get, how long you want them to play, what you want them to play, any kind of “shtick” you’d like them to throw in, etc. I’ve played in bands where it was a cause that we all supported, so we played the show for free (we did get comped food but I’m not sure we even ate that night). Other times I’ve played shows where I’ve walked away with $500+ after an hour or two, with food, drinks, place to stay (there was also three other members to pay).
The best way to find out would be to contact all the bands in your area and ask them for a demo as well

Also ask your friends if there are any bands that they would recommend or specifically not to hire, no sense in paying $1500+ for a bunch of drunks to show up, wreck your party and steal your girlfriend/boyfriend.
As a gigging musician, I would recommend taking good care of them, include food, if they’re traveling hook them up with food, basically make them want to work with you again. They’re better rested and more comfortable, you get a better party. Win win.
Most bands (good bands) have a website or even a Facebook page that has their contact info. Just give them a call and discuss what you’d like. All the people that I’ve talked to are willing to barter with you (they like working), but don’t sell them short, that’s just a dick move. As for Yeasayer, I can’t say I’ve heard of them, but you don’t know until you ask.
Hope this helps!
There are, although the ones I know of seem to be kind of ad hoc. In 2007, there was a CD called Est hora, which contains Finnish rock and tango music in Latin, but I think there was no established band behind it, but it was rather the project of some junior college (in Finnish lukio) where they study Latin.
A good band consists of TEMPERED MUSICIAN, that is the ultimate consideration.
