If i have to tell you one movie that made a impact on me i would say it would be 12 Angry Men
If you haven’t seen this movie please watch it. It’s a masterpiece. It’s been shot in a single room having just 12 men. 12 Angry men is about 12 jury member who were witnessing a murder trial and had to gave a deciding vote whether to gave death sentence to culprit or not.
Spoiler Alert!!!
When i watched for the first time, it changed my perspective totally. It shows the art of questioning and shows how a single person with a different perspective can change the decision. It showed how not to take a big decision quickly. It showed the importance of listening and why “innocent until proven guilty” is important.
But after watching for the second time it told a different story, here 12 person not just represent 12 different person with different background but it showed 12 different traits of a person. I will try to depict some personalities :-
- Self-centered :- This juror represent perfect example of it
2. Arrogant :- This juror think that’s he knows everything
3. Thoughtless :- This juror doesn’t care about case and just making decision quickly
4. Angry :- This juror made some logical points but due to his past he was colluded by his anger
5. Rational :- This guy is true example of a rational person
6. Observant :- This guy changed his vote and gave support at the crucial time and also observe the situation very wisely
7. Respectful :-
8. Practical :- This guy raised many good points in the discussion
Drum-roll for the last one :-
9. Empathetic :- I watched this movie 4 or 5 time just to understand why did he not voted guilty, because initially each and every evidence proves that boy was guilty. But he choose to vote against the motion without having much evidence. But what drive him not to vote along with 11 men, i think because he was empathetic and care for a human life. I think if 11 had voted not guilty initially then he may had voted the same as other.
