First of all, you should be aware of the fact that there are two categories under Canadian student visa application and that is SDS and non-SDS categories. There is a very slight difference in the required documents for both categories. The required documents are given below:
- Original passport with expiry after course completion.
- Education certificates.
- 4 Passport size photographs (Size of 35 x 45 mm with 80% face having white/matte finish background).
- GIC certificate (in the non-SDS category, GIC is not compulsory and students can replace GIC with proof of funds).
- Unconditional offer letter.
- Payment receipt of embassy fee and tuition fee.
- Medical receipt.
- Copy of IELTS result.
- Student and family information form.
- Add LOR and SOP (though it's not mandatory, it is recommended to attach it for a better presentation of your intentions to visit Canada).
- If you are showing agricultural income, attach a notary-attested J Form.
- ITR or income certificate (2 years).
- Bank statements of family members.
- In some cases, you might be required to submit the CA report as well mentioning details about the valuation of movable and immovable assets.
Along with these documents, you’ll be required to score an overall band of 6.0 but not less than 6.0 in each under the SDS category, and similarly for the non-SDS category, you have to score an overall band of 6.0 but not less than 5.5 in each. However, in the case of non-SDS category students, submission of a one-year fee in advance is optional.
Collecting all the documents and preparing them as per the requirements of Canadian Immigration may be tiresome sometimes. One silly mistake can make or break your chances of getting a student visa to Canada.
Therefore, I would personally suggest you visit a reputed and expert immigration consultant to avoid the last-minute rush and documentation errors. They are professionals in their field, so their helping hand may increase your chances of getting your visa approval. In my opinion, Nationwide Visas is the one in this market with such a huge reputation, clientele, and decades of experience behind them. They have expertise in dealing with Canadian student visa applications. So you can trust them anytime.
