Actually this wasn't a very long checkout line but it was an Express line which had a few people in it.

I had been to pick up some prescriptions, a couple of things for groceries and head out quickly.

So I've been dealing with chemotherapy for my stage 4 cancer, I also have diabetes and other problems. I made it all the way to the cash register but my neck was hurting quite badly which is another pre-existing condition. And at some point I blanked out for a few seconds. Fortunately I was basically leaning on the conveyor so I didn't fall but somebody was holding me just in case. They got me to a chair and got me some water and eventually someone from the pharmacy brought me some glucose tablets because the problem was that my blood sugar was really low. Like an idiot I hadn't eaten yet that day.

I wasn't worried about what I was buying but one of the ladies brought over a bag with the stuff I was buying in it and said someone paid for it for you. Which was a really nice thing to do. I didn't get a chance to thank that person so if they're out there reading this and they were at Safeway in North Vancouver thanks. And if you want the money let me know!
