No. Eru, like the Valar he created, was pretty ham-fisted. (The Valar quit trying to fix Middle-Earth’s problems because they sank half the continent fighting Melkor the first time. Clumsy or what?)

Eru had the power to dissolve Ar-Pharazôn’s army into dust just by thinking about it. He didn’t. Instead, he not only destroyed the army, he also sank the island itself, killing all the women and children, who were innocent victims of Ar-Pharazôn themselves.

If Eru didn’t want to deal with it, I think Tulkas could have shown up and broken Ar-Pharazôn in half in a heartbeat. This would probably have demoralized the army enough to send them home.
