THE ONLY MAN IN HISTORY THAT FITS THE PROPHESY:
There is a Prophesy in the book of Deuteronomy 18:18 which states that God would raise up a Prophet after Moses, which many Muslims are quite familiar with. My attempt will be to present old facts in a somewhat new light, so bear with me. In this verse, God tells Moses to tell the Israelites the following: "I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their (The Israelites) brothers; I will put my words in his mouth, and he will tell them everything I command him."

A Prophet, like Moses, from among the brothers of the Israelites. Who are the brothers of the Israelites? Israelites are descendants of Isaac, Abraham's 2nd son, whereas the Arabs, or Ishmaelites are descendants of Abraham's 1st son, Ishmael. (This is not only according to Muslim history, but the Bible as well, and if you want proof of this just message me and ask.)
The question need not be asked, but I shall ask it anyways. Was Muhammad an Arab, a descendant of Ishmael? Most certainly he was, and in fact, Muslims can even trace his lineage to Ishmael.
So the next question is, is Muhammad (saas) like Moses? After all, the verse says, "…a prophet like you (Moses)" Well, let us consult a Christian Scholar, let us ask him if Muhammad is like Moses.
If we read the book "Dictionary of the Bible" by Reverend James Dow, under the heading "Moses" we read the following:
"As a statesman and a lawgiver Moses is the creator of the Jewish people. He found a loose conglomeration of Semitic people, none of whom had been anything but a slave, and whose ideas of religion were a complete confusion. He led them out and he hammered them into a nation. with a law and a national pride, and a compelling sense of being chosen by a particular God who was supreme. The only man in history who can be compared even remotely to him is Mohamet. The scripture account tends to elaborate for the sake of impression, but behind all the elaborations stands a man of tremendous worth and achievement, whose mark upon the life of the world is as important as it is incalculable." -Moses, pp. 402-403.
Who said that? Did the Muslim say that? Did the Muslims threaten this man? Did they say, "Look, put this in your dictionary of the Bible or else no oil!" -Did they? No. James Dow, a studied Reverend said it, based on his own rational in depth study of theology, that no man in history can be compared to Moses, except the Prophet Muhammad (saas). No man in history is like the Prophet Moses except one man…the Prophet Muhammad (saas).
THE JEWS STILL WAITING AROUND
Did the Jews think this Prophesy was fulfilled at any point? Or are the Jews still sitting around waiting for this? Well, if we read the Gospel of John, chapter 1, verses 19-21, we see a very interesting conversation that takes place between the Jews of Jesus' (saas) time, and John the Baptist. The story is found in the Bible as follows:
"Now this was John's testimony when the Jews of Jerusalem sent priests and Levites to ask him who he was. He did not fail to confess, but confessed freely, 'I am not the Christ.' They asked him, "Then who are you? Are you Elijah?" He said, "I am not." "Are you the Prophet?" He answered, "No."
We see the Jews were waiting on 3 DISTINCT PEOPLE. 1. The Messiah, 2. Elijah, and 3. The Prophet. It becomes even MORE clear in verses 24 and 25: "Now some Pharisees who had been sent questioned him, "Why then do you baptize if you are not (1)the Christ, (2)nor Elijah, (3)nor the Prophet?" (Numbers added by me.)
The Jews are still waiting around for "The Prophet" in ADDITION TO Elijah, and the Messiah (Jesus).
Now, let us move on to the SMOKING GUN, as it is called. The real evidence. The very words of Jesus Christ himself.
JESUS DESCRIBES WHO WAS TO COME AFTER HIM
We read from the lips of Jesus (saas), in the Gospel of John, as he is speaking to his disciples, the following prophesy: "And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever— the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you."(John 14:16-17) Jesus (saas) goes on to say: "But the Counselor, the Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you." (John 14:26), and further: "But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, [even] the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me" (John 15:26) and Further:
"Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: Of sin, because they believe not on me; Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more; Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged. I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, [that] shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew [it] unto you."(John 16:7-14).
Notice that in various places this Prophesy is for, what is referred to either as a "Comforter" or a "Counselor." -Both of these words are the translations of what is the same word in the Greek manuscript, the Greek word "Paraclete."
'PARACLETE' = 'AHMAD'!!!
There has been much confusion over these verses, and who/what the Paraclete is, although the traditionally accepted view today is that these verses refer to the Holy Spirit. However it is important to note, that this verse is rather ambiguous, and many Christian historians make an interesting note. From The Anchor Bible, Doubleday & Company, Inc, Volume 29A, p. 1135 we read the following VERY interesting note: "…scholars like Spitta, Delafosse, Windisch, Sasse, Bultmann, and Betz have doubted whether this identification is true to the original picture and have suggested that the Paraclete was once an independent salvific figure, later confused with the Holy Spirit."
So this gets us thinking. A lot of early Christians did NOT interpret this to be a Spirit. Very interesting! But, the plot thickens! Let us take another glance at the word "Paraclete."
Paraclete comes from the Greek Root word Parakletos. From this same root word comes it's derivitive, Periklytos, which means, "Praised one." Does anyone know what the Arabic word for "Praised one" is? If you guessed "Muhammad" you are right!
Now, sometimes Paraclete is translated as "Intercessor" or "Consoler." -this is in fact a misunderstanding of early translators, because the Greek word for intercessor is Paraqalon, which, although similar and from the same root, is not the word used in the Greek text.
When we take into account that the gospel was translated from Aramaic (A Semetic language similar to Arabic and Hebrew) INTO Greek, we see that it is not entirely unbelievable that this is quite likely a place where, in his original language Jesus Prophesied the coming of Muhammad (saas) by name.
Now, I think that every person in the Western world has probably watched the Passion of the Christ, the Mel Gibson film. Well, whats interesting about that film is, to make it more true to the time, Mel Gibson had the actor who played Jesus speak in Syrio-Aramaic, a language very close to the Aramaic of the time of Christ. I.E. the script writer translated the words of Jesus from the Bible, which are in Greek, back into a Semetic language. (The Semetic languages include Arabic, Hebrew, and Aramaic, because all 3 of these languages come from the same root words). Well, in this film, Jesus (saas) recites verse 16:7 from the gospel of John, and the pronunciation is as follows: "Al teethe khalone, heefe MUNAHMA…"
As it happens, Munahma is actually a Syriac pronunciation of AHMED, which is a contracted Arabic form of Muhammad. The Syriac word used, Munahma, as well as the Arabic word Ahmed AND Muhammad ALL come from the same archaic trilateral, which is HMD (pronounced Hemed). It is known as the Semetic "Praise Root."
To make a long story short, you can translate John 16:7 from Greek into Arabic, and the word that would be where Paraclete is in Greek, would actually be Ahmad. I.E. the text reads: "Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, Ahmad will not come unto you."
DOES THE SHOE FIT?
Let us briefly examine the Prophesy of the Paraclete, and see if the actions of the Paraclete fit the actions of Muhammad.
1. The world cannot accept him because it does not know him, but the disciples of Jesus know him. (John 14:16) Well, even though Islam is the worlds fastest growing religion and the worlds 2nd largest religion, your average non-Muslim knows nothing about Muhammad unless they happen to have a Muslim friend. I.E. people of this world, who live for this world do not accept him, because they do not know him. Yet, the disciples were very clear on what his message would later be, because we believe all Prophets and their righteous companions had the religion of Islam in their hearts. (Islam means "surrender to God.")
2. He will teach us all things and will remind the world of what Jesus said to them. (John 14:26) Obviously Islam is the only religion that reminds the world of the TRUE message of Jesus, which is that there is only One God, who does not beget, neither is He begotten. And indeed Muhammad (saas) did teach us ALL things, because Islam is considered more of a way of life than a religion, because it governs every aspect of how a Muslim lives.
3. He will testify of Jesus (John 15:26). Indeed, the name of Jesus is mentioned more times in the Qu'ran than the name of Muhammad.
4. He will come AFTER Jesus (John 16:7) Indeed Muhammad was born almost 600 years after Jesus.
5. He will guide men to all truth (John 16:13) Just go and read my blog "The Muslim concept of God" wherein I talk about the fact that Muslims belive that Islam takes humanity as close to the 100% truth as is possible to know in this plane of existence.
6. He will not speak of himself, but instead only what he hears from God. (John 16:13) Well, in this Muhammad (saas) is unique, because the Qu'ran was revealed to him, and not a single one of his own words remain in it. The Qu'ran, any Muslim will tell you is 100% God speaking in the first person, whereas the sayings of Muhammad, the Hadith, are kept separate, in their own books.
IMPOSSIBLE CONCLUSION: PARACLETE = HOLY SPIRIT
Furthermore, we know these "Paraclete" verses cannot be talking about the Holy Spirit because the verse clearly says that the Paraclete will not come until Jesus goes away. (John 16:7) Yet, in the Bible, the Holy Spirit was already present both before and during the life of Jesus. (For examples of the "Holy Spirit" before Jesus "went away" see the following bible verses: (1 Samuel 10:10, Isaiah 63:11, Luke 1:15, Luke 1:35, Luke 1:41, Luke 1:67, Luke 2:25, Luke 2:26, Luke 3:22, John 20:21-22)
JESUS DISCIPLES CONFIRM: STILL WAITING FOR 'AHMAD'
Another interesting point, is that the disciples of Jesus still anticipated the fulfillment of the "Prophet like unto Moses" mentioned in Deuteronomy 18:18 AFTER Jesus [saas] had already ascended. We read in chapter 3 of the book of Acts, that the Jews who are on the verge of converting to Christianity, ask Peter, a disciple of Christ, when the end of the world will come, when all things will be fulfilled, and when Jesus will return. Peter gives an answer which proves to all reasonable people that the companions of Jesus [saas] were taught that Jesus was NOT the Prophet mentioned in Duet. 18:18, that this prophet was yet to come. He says what has been recorded and translated in Acts chapter 3 as follows:
"He (Jesus) must remain in heaven until the time comes for God to restore everything, as he promised long ago through his holy prophets. For Moses said, 'The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among your own people; you must listen to everything he tells you. Anyone who does not listen to him will be completely cut off from among his people."
In other words, the Disciples are waiting on God to 'restore everything', and it cannot be considered that God has "restored everything" until Deuteronomy 18:18 is fulfilled. And, as is obvious, the Disciples, in the book of Acts, some time after the supposed Crucifixion of Christ, were still waiting for this Arab Prophet named Ahmed, which Jesus Christ Himself had prophesied by name.

He always spoke in parables and those without the Holy spirit will hear but not understand and will perish…
Spirit of truth simply means a prophet.
Jesus was talking about the end time prophet who will come after him and completed his works, Jesus himself was unable to perform his task because of time as he was sought by the Roman to be crucified.Furthermore, his disciples were not ready to understand the message that he had brought.
Prior, John the Baptizer was talking about a similar greater figure who will come after him, whose sandal John is not fit to untie the lace.

Jesus had only 3 years to try to teach them, and He knew there was much too much to teach, so He promised to send the spirit of truth to teach all the truth. The first appearance of the spirit of truth was in the second century, who explained the Fall and reason from Christ’s redemption. The work was called The Restoration of All Things. The Roman Empire destroyed this work, but Jesus promised that His word would never die. So, the spirit of truth has appeared numerous time to restore what the likes of Constantine and Justinian did to Christianity. The latest appearance was 70 years ago at GL Zurich.
The spirit of truth taught from 1948 to 1983 and all 2,000 lectures were recorded, transcribed and published online, full searchable. Anyone can test the spirts (1 John 4:1–4) by reading all of the lectures and trying to find any contradictions in them.
My confusion from Christians saying Jesus was referring to the holy spirit, then why he would say spirit of truth? What’s wrong with just saying holy spirit when that’s being used everywhere? Spirit of truth also appears very rarely compared to holy spirit.
I also don’t think it speaks about Muhammad or any prophet but a true message of God because Jesus could not complete the message of God, if he was the God himself why he even needs another spirit later to complete the tasks?

The point christians forget the neo-christianity is an invention by the church, where they manipulated verses to suit the rulers of the era, injecting concepts like trinity. If Jesus is the God himself, why the trinity statement is so rare and artificially injected in the bible. Compare that to Islam, how many times the core concepts of Tawhid / monotheism is repeated. Trinity is old polytheistic concept, even Hinduism has it, yet you claim there is one God and Christianity is monotheistic! So, when you say “why muslim apologetics take one part of the bible but rejects the other part” - the answer is pretty obvious, isn’t it? The reason revelation came to Muhammad according to Islam, is because the messages were contaminated with human words (even we can verify this historically like what Erasmus did), there are some words of God in Bible (parts of Injil) which Muslims also believe, but then they added fan fiction, perverted stories unfortunately and you are only left with really contradicting concepts.
Finally, think with an open mind, between Judaism and Islam - how Christianity became this embracer of trinity - which was a common polytheistic belief of similar time, some people cleverly changed some small parts to make one religion a completely different thing. Rest, God knows best.
The answers to most dilemmas in the life of Jesus are found in the Old Testament.
It is worth looking at Exodus 33 and 34 which has a greatly informative conversation between God and Moses—the forerunner of Christ—who pleads that he cannot ‘lead this people’ into the promised land unless God sends someone with him (v12).
God begins by saying that an angel would go before them to drive out the inhabitants of the land,
v 2 [“I will send an angel before you, and I will drive out the Canaanites, the Amorites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites. 3 Go up to a land flowing with

God says that he will not ‘go with them’ and warns that he might destroy them on the way because of their intransigence. But Moses wants a sign of divine presence which God agrees to because Moses found favour in His sight by in interceding on behalf of the people.
The tabernacle is built and God’s presence goes with it in their midst. The tabernacle is a symbol of righteousness and redemption in the person of Jesus Christ in whom God dwelled because Jesus was sinless.
The ministry of Jesus is therefore a fitting symbol of ‘entry into the promised land’ and, just as the Israelites had a visual presence with them so Jesus did not leave his people without this same ‘helper’. The holy spirit gifts were to confirm the presence of God in the apostles and to help in the spiritual ‘driving out’ of the old world’s ideas.

Good question. That verse is referring to the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirits job is to remind of what Jesus actually taught his followers to do. So, if you’re trying to make a choice between right and wrong and something Jesus taught helps you make the right choice, then that was the Holy Spirit guiding you into truth. (John 14–26) also talks about the job of the Holy Spirit. If someone who has never heard of Jesus, feeds someone on the streets because it was the right thing to do, who do you think that was who told him to do that? Hope this finds you well.

It is funny when some followers of Muhammad pbuh said he was predicting the coming of Muhammad pbuh. Muhammad pbuh was a human being like you V 18:110 he was not a spirit, Allah told Muhammad pbuh if they ask you about spirit say you are given only a little knowledge, it belongs to the domain of the Lord V 17:85 in the messenger’s night journey, and the same Quran says Jesus is the word and spirit from Allah V 4:171 .
Muhammad pbuh was not sent by Jesus, Do the muslims agreed with John 16: 14 that Muhammad gave glory to Jesus and received instructions from Jesus? No. Muhammad pbuh glorified Allah and receive words from angel Gabriel.
Therefore it is a great error to say that John was talking about Muhammad pbuh the unlettered Messenger to the unlettered V 62:2, who was not a spirit nor was he sent by Jesus
In the previous 6 verses Jesus explains that when He dies, rises again and returns to the Father in heaven, He will send ‘the Comforter’ the Holy Spirit to help us in our daily life as followers of Christ. All this came to pass as it is written in Acts 2, and Peter explains what was happening to the crowd in verses 14–21. The Spirit of truth is the Holy Spirit, the third member of the Trinity, it is He who inspires us and helps us to witness that Jesus is the living Son of God.

He is talking about the way in which your Christian life, and growth in faith, will be guided by the Holy Spirit. But since the Holy Spirit has your entire life in which to complete its task, it may be in no rush, and you can’t force its hand, or tell it to hurry up.
I am answering as a Christian.
“And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you for ever – the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.” (John 14:16–17)
First, let us take an intelligent look at it in context.

If someone believes that what Jesus Christ says in John 14:16 is a prophecy about Prophet Muhammed it is only fair to say that they believe the words which Jesus Christ speaks in the Bible is true and from God. Let us begin, then, by checking out what He said ten verses earlier in the same chapter:
“Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.’’
Clearly, He states three things.
- It is only through Him and through Him alone that anybody can find their way to God the Father.
- He calls God His Father; and so Jesus calls Himself the Son of God.
- Those who know Him know the Father, and those who see Him have seen the Father.
How many Muslims believe any of these things? If anyone disbelieves the words of Jesus Christ here, what is the logic of going ten verses further down to find a tenuous thread with which to tie the prophet of Islam to the Bible?
Does it make sense to reject all of the words of Jesus Christ here and claim to believe the words of Jesus in verse 16 of the same chapter?
Now to the actual words in verse 16 which continues to v.17:
“(1) And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and (2) be with you for ever – (3) the Spirit of truth. (4) The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him (5) nor knows him. But you know him, for (6)he lives with you and (7) will be in you.
Anyone who believes these words refer to the Prophet Mohammed of Islam agrees with the following statements based on the words in bold italics in the text as quoted above:
- The Prophet Mohammed came to the world in answer to the prayer of Jesus Christ.
- The prophet Mohammed did not die and is with those who believe his teachings today and will be with them forever.
- He is not a human being but a Spirit
- The world did not accept him because no one could see him.
- Because he was invisible, the world did not know him.
- Right now, he lives with everyone who believes his teachings.
- He actually resides inside them.
I do not know whether you believe any of these statements to be true. Personally, I don’t; and I do not know any Muslim who does.
No, my friend. This verse of Scripture has absolutely nothing to do with the prophet of Islam.
In fact, it is about God’s Holy Spirit who descended on the disciples of Jesus Christ on the Day of Pentecost, just as He had promised them.
“They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit…” (Acts of Apostles 2:3–4)
That same Holy Sprit is active today and inhabits everyone who has accepted the forgiveness of sins which God offers in Jesus Christ. Indeed, each and every one of those seven points is true of the Holy Spirit.
To the glory of God I can testify personally to the wonderful experience of the Holy Spirit living in me.
Jesus is the Incarnate God, Emmanuel, God with us. He is one Person of the Trinity. In all things, Jesus fulfilled the will of the Father.
Because of the love and deep community of the Trinity, none of the Person of the Trinity acts alone. They exist and do together.
So in John 5:30, Jesus says that he does nothing without the Father, that he follows the Father’s will in all things. And in John 16:12–14, Jesus says that when his earthly body is taken up by the Father, the Holy Spirit will remain with us. Again, the Holy Spirit will do the will of the Father and will do nothing on its own.
Taking a wild guess, I think he is referring to the truths that were written in the epistles and in Revelation about the end times.
Joh 16:12 "I have so much more to tell you, but it is too much for you to accept now.
Joh 16:13 But when the Spirit of truth comes, he will lead you into all truth. He will not speak his own words. He will speak only what he hears and will tell you what will happen in the future. “
Jesus never used his Divine powers while on earth.
He said it Himself in John 5:19: “the Son can do nothing by himself” and also in John 5:30: “By myself I can do nothing;”.
To deny that he never used his Divine powers, is to ignore the fact that Jesus set self imposed a limit, and lived as a man, like one of us.

The holy Spirit was going to provide the Twelve with a miraculous reminder of Jesus’ teachings. Those teachings are what he meant by “what is mine.”
John 5:30 reads, “I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.”
Jesus was speaking of his submission to his Father. Everything about his life concerned his Father, and he walked in agreement with Him (Amos 3:3, John 10:30). And he wasn’t interested in glorifying himself; rather, he enjoyed doing the will of God and supporting his Father. “My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.” (John 4:34).
John 16:12–14 reads, “I have yet many things to say unto you

John 16:12–14 reads, “I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.”
Jesus was speaking of how he was going to ask his Father to give the Holy Spirit, the Comforter, to them (John 14:26). They needed it for their spiritual work, because in order to do the will of God (especially at the level at which they do it) it requires anointing (1 John 2:27) and a level of spiritual understanding, which they couldn’t acquire when they were with Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit would make them to understand the role they would play as apostles (Luke 6:12–13), and why such things were so; with that understanding, they could preach with confidence and endure persecution (Acts 5:41–42).

He tells 12 disciples He will send the Holy Spirit to them after He goes away (after dies, is resurrected, and ascends to heaven). The Holy Spirit (whom Jesus refers to as “the helper”, “the comforter”, and the “Spirit of truth”) will be advantageous to them because He will guide them into all truth including future events (we understand elswhere, e.g., I Cor. 2, the Holy Spirit did this by inspiration, or breathing God’s message into them). Notice the message the Holy Spirit would bring to the world through them: He would convict the world of sin, how to become righteous, and warn about the impending judgment.
Jesus tells the 11 disciples (minus Judas) to wait in Jerusalem where this would happen (Act 1:4); it happens as the 12 Apostles are baptized in the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:1–13); then Peter preaches the first sermon to convict the world in regard to sin, righteousness, and the judgment to come (Acts 2:14–41)

Jesus has already been granted authority in heaven and earth. Matthew 28:18 “Jesus approached and spoke to them, saying: “All authority has been given me in heaven and on the earth. 19 Go, therefore, and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you. For God so loved the world. Translation; For God, in this way, loved the world. That He gave His only Begotten Son. Begotten has several meanings. In one way, Yeshua is begotten, or born into the world by use of a human vessel. Begotten can mean to bring a child into existence, through conception, gestation, and birth. As in the vessel of Mary. Then there's another meaning as in Psalm 2:7 When speaking of the raising up of His anointed one, Yeshua. “You are my son, today I have begotten you.” Meaning, He has been prepared and is now fulfilling the promise by beginning His work. As in the beginning of His ministry has been triggered, so to speak. The Father is also not calling Yeshua His actual Son, it is a spiritual title in the same way Paul calls Timothy his son in the faith in 1 Timothy 1:2. So Yeshua being the heir of all creation, He is the Son, The “First born” of God. First born is a title of inheritance. It doesn't always mean the first one born, as the first one born can lose his first born title to the next in line. Then he will be called first born.
Now for belief. “Whoever believes in Him shall not perish..” Belief in Yeshua is not simply intellectual acknowledgement that He exists. Ephesians 2:8 says “For by grace you have been saved, through faith;..” Let me break down what faith means. We are told in some places to repent, which simply means to change our mind and turn away from one thing to another. In this case, turn away from our fleshly life, and turn toward God. We are also told to believe. We are also told to put our trust in Him. We are also told to obey Him. So which is it? Faith is belief in something or someone that you have good reason to trust. Faith is an action. To be faithful. In Romans 10:17 Paul says, “So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Messiah.” We hear the word of Yehovah, and we respond to that word, either by rejecting it or by believing in Him, and in His promises, and in who He is, and we trust that He will do what He says He will do. Because of our love for Him and in gratitude for what He did for us on the cross. That's when we turn away from our old life toward Yehovah. So when the Bible says to have faith, faith brings about belief, which brings our trust, which then brings our repentance, which then brings our obedience. So without love, none of this is genuine. 1 Corinthians 13:1–3 “If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but do not have love, I have become a noisy gong or a clanging symbol. If I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains (a metaphor for dealing with big problems), but do not have love, I am nothing. And if I give all my possessions to feed the poor, and if I surrender my body to be burned, but do not have love, it profits me nothing.” So there is no obedience without love. John 3:36 says “He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not obey the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.” So we can claim faith, we can claim all that comes with it, but if we have no love, we will not obey, and we are not genuine in our faith, and it profits us nothing. John 14:15 says “If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.” 14:24 says “He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine, but the Father who sent Me.” 15:5–6 “I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in Me, he is thrown away as a branch and dries up; and they gather them, and cast them into the fire and they are burned.” So if we love Him, we will automatically want to obey Him. And faithfulness will come automatically. If we don't truly love Him, we won't be motivated to obey him and practice faithfulness. This is the people who just sit back, and think a prayer has saved them, and they don't need to be faithful, just acknowledge that Yeshua exists. That they can continue to live their same old life however they want to. Partying and having extramarital sex and getting drunk and doing drugs and all kinds of debauchery because they said a prayer and they don't have to change. We must bury our old selves and be born again into a new creation. Luke 14:27 says “Whoever does not carry his own cross and come after me cannot be my disciple.” We must die to self. Nail our past selves to the cross and move forward a new person. Obey the Holy Spirit. Now we mess up a lot, but if we're trying, if we're putting in the effort, God will do the heavy lifting, and we will see the change He brings in us. We first have to want it. If we love Him, we will automatically want it. He will change our hearts.
John 5:30 simply means, Christ was acting on the authority of God the Father, The Majesty on High (Hebrews 1:1-3). He became a man-God to reveal to us divinity as well as fellowship with God. (Philippians 2:5-8).
Then John 16:12-14 speaks of the current dispensation of the Holy Spirit who gives us life, brings all of God into our Spirit, and He too is glorifying Christ in line with the divine plan of God the Father, the Majesty on High.
Note God is three distinct Persons in One, and All are co-equal, but Two come from One (John 16:27-28 and John 15:26).
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.”

God created the world, so it’s no surprise that He loves it too. And even though the fall happened, and then the flood happened, God still loved mankind so much, that He sent His only Son to die for us, and thereby save those who believe in Him. This goes all the way back to the beginning when God set Adam and Eve up in the Garden of Eden.

The Koran says their "Jesus" is not the Son of God, nor the LORD, did not create all things, did not die on the cross, did not atone for sin, did not rise from the dead, and through faith in whom people are not saved. All of which is contrary to what the Biblical Jesus and his apostles said and which are central to the Christian faith.
Furthermore while the Biblical Jesus and his apostles were backed up by miracles, of which Jesus said, "Do not believe me unless I do what my Father does." John 10:37, the Koran admits Mohammed had no such signs affirming him. So why believe Mohammed?
Jesus spoke of people like Mohammed in this way, "Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. By their fruit you will recognize them." Mt 7:15,16 And we're all familiar with the fruits of Islam.

The rest of the text makes it clear that the Holy Spirit, the Comforter is to come THEN, in the 1st century, in 33 AD to Jesus’ disciples.
Islam claims that its prophet came in the 6th century, so then this text is definitely NOT about that 6th century person.
John 14:16 — And I will ask the Father and He will give you another Comforter to be with you forever - the Spirit of Truth.
The Comforter will be with these disciples forever. How could the Comforter be a character from over 500 years later - following the deaths of these disciples.
John 14:17 — But you know him for he lives with you and will be in you.
The Comforter lives with the disciples already now and will later be 'in' them. The Holy Spirit came to the disciples and indwelt them. Jesus is saying that the Comforter will be 'right inside' of the disciples. This ain’t a person who come along hundreds of years later
John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
The Comforter is specifically described as the Holy Spirit. The Comforter is not a man
The Comforter will be sent in Jesus' name. The Holy Spirit represented the Lord on earth. Do you, Mustafa Khawaja, believe that Muhammad was sent by God in Jesus name?
So conclusively, Mustafa Khawaja, the comforter is given the pronoun “he” and is referring to the Holy Spirit that is to come immediately to the Apostles then.
One must remember that Jesus was speaking to dedicated, baptized Christians when he said the words recorded in John 14:14. They were living and worshipping according to the standards God had set out.
In verse 12 he stated: Most truly I say to you, whoever exercises faith in me will also do the works that I do; and he will do works greater than these, because I am going my way to the Father.
“If you ask anything in my name, I will do it.”

John 16:23 - Jesus said: “ In that day you will ask me no question at all. Most truly I say to you, if you ask the Father for anything, he will give it to you in my name.” (‘In that day’ means after Jesus is gone.)
Remember that Jesus said “I and the Father are one.” (John 10:30),
and “… know and understand that the Father is in in Me, and I in the Father.” (John 10:38)

Also “In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through Him all things were made …. and the Word became flesh and dwelled among us.” (John 1:1–3, 14)
Also in the first chapter of the Bible, we are given a clue. Genesis 1:26, in the creation scenario: God said: “Let us make man in our image, in our likeness.” (plural?)
Colossians 1:16 says Jesus was the Creator. And Genesis chapter 1 tells us everything was created by God speaking it into existence; that is, by His Word (Jesus). God said “Light be,” and there was light.
Both of the verses you mentioned emphasize to ask in Jesus name or by His authority. When we are a blood-bought Christ follower, we pray in His will and by using His authority. Jesus is what connects us to God. We are reconciled to God by believing in Jesus’ substitutionary atonement. Here’s a worldly example of the concept: If I go into a bank where I have no account and ask the Banker to give me $10,000, he would not entertain me, but if I had a letter from his son, he would certainly consider my case. Believing in Jesus, puts us in God’s family.
But your question may be about one verse saying to ask Jesus, and the other says to ask the Father. I listed the verses above to emphasize the mystery of the Trinity: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Yet, they are one God. Mind boggling, but God is amazing.
If you are sane- you don’t. You might have failed to understand this: The Bible is fictional. So many delusional people have failed to understand that. Hi, and thank you for your wonderful question, it is great to find people like you searching for an authentic information.
The Answer is:
YES VERY TRUE John 14:16 is talking about The Beloved Prophet Muhammad and here is what approves this Ultimate Truth:
1- John 14:16
“And I will pray the Father (My Lord), and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever."
2- John14:26
”But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.”

Hi, and thank you for your wonderful question, it is great to find people like you searching for an authentic information.

3- John 14:30
“Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.”
Note:
"The word Comforter is the English translation of the Greek word (periclytos) which is almost the exact translation of the Aramaic or Hebrew word (Mauhamana) used by Jesus himself, and which correlates with the name Muhammad .”
In verse 16,
The emphasis here is on the word "ANOTHER" an other, a different one, an additional one, but of the same kind, yet distinctly different from the first. Who is then the first Comforter?
It is very obvious that Jesus is the First Comforter; then the other, the one to follow must be of like nature subject to the same conditions of hunger, thirst, fatigue, sorrow and death. However, this promised Comforter was to "abide with you FOR EVER". No one lives for ever, Jesus was mortal so must the coming Comforter also be mortal.
No son of man can ever be immortal. "Every soul shall have a taste of death." The Holy Qur`an Sura Al-Imran : 185
But here Jesus according to this verse is telling
" ABIDE" continue , endure for ever. All Comforters are with us forever. Moses is here with us today in his teachings, Jesus is here with us in his teachings, and Muhammad also is here with us in his teachings (May the Peace and Blessings of Allah be upon them all).
Therefore we can now understand that Jesus was speaking here about: “ Muhammad “the most remarkable man that ever set foot on this earth. A man who preached a religion, founded a state, built a nation, laid down a moral code, initiated numberless social and political reforms, established a dynamic and powerful society to practice and represent his teachings, and completely revolutionized the worlds of human thought and action for all times to come.
In verse 26
Jesus {P.B.u.h.} mentions this next prophet (comforter) and calls him the Holy Ghost. The term “Holy Ghost” was used to describe, angel or scripture. That is from Allah. This term was never used to describe one particular thing or person.
So Jesus says the father "Allah" will send to this prophet (Holy Ghost).
Jesus in addition, says that this prophet will teach you things and mention my name. Prophet MUHAMMED and his followers (the Companions May Allah be pleased with all of them), had no previous knowledge of Bible scriptures, yet Prophet Muhammad related the story of Jesus in the Holy Qur'an. Jesus also says that Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon them all), will tell you everything that I have said to you.
Prophet Muhammad in fact, described in detail many important stories and facts about Jesus ; that were not in the New Testament. The Holy Qur'an mentions stories that the Christians did not know or could not deny.
Neither the Jews, nor any nation ever mentioned the name of Jesus, as the Muslims did. Moreover, no one has called Christians to revert to the true religion of Jesus Christ which is “Islam” except Muslims.
In verse 30:
"Jesus {P.B.u.h.} says that he does not have to explain much of Allah's law to the people. Because the next prophet, “the prince of the world “MUHAMMED will teach the people everything.”
Jesus also says that this future Prophet is not Jesus (and hath nothing in me).
4- John 16:7
“Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away; for if I go not away, the COMFORTER WILL NOT COME UNTO YOU; but if I depart, I will send him unto you .
5- John 16:13
How beit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear , that he speak : he will show you things to come
6- John16:14
14- He shall glorify me; for he shall receive of mine, and shall show it unto you.
In verse 7
Jesus says it is better for the people that he will leave because the comforter will bring the truth, the completed religion. Jesus also tells the people that the comforter is a stronger more potent, Prophet than Jesus, when he says " it is expedient for you that I go away. "
Jesus was also, saying that in his departure will be the reason for the coming of the next Prophet's coming , not that Jesus will personally send the comforter. Jesus also says he must leave because " the comforter (praised one – Ahmed) will not come unto you until he leaves.
In verse 13
Jesus says that the spirit of Truth will guide you from what he hears and therefore these truths do not come from himself but from Allah through the angel Gabriel. Also that Prophet Muhammad will tell you many prophecies of future things.
In verse 14:
Jesus is describing how Prophet MUHAMMED (Peace be upon them both) , through the Holy Qur'an, will tell his followers that Jesus is a Prophet, and relate the true story of what had really happened to Jesus .
Now read what Allah said in the Noble Qur'an
"And[mention] when Jesus, the son of Mary, said, "O Children of Israel, indeed I am the messenger of Allah to you confirming what came before me of the Torah, and bringing good tidings of a messenger to come after me, whose name is Ahmed. But when he came to them with clear evidences, they said, "This is obvious magic.” (The Qur’an 61:6)
Notes:
A: “In (1 John 4:1) we find the following verse:
"Beloved, believe not every Spirit, but try the Spirits whether they are of God; because many false Prophets are gone out into the world."
Note:
We can observe that the word spirit is used here synonymous with a Prophet. A true spirit is a true prophet, and a false spirit is a false prophet.
However, how can the people know the true Prophet from the false one?
St. John does not leave us in the air, guessing the true from the false. He gives us a clear test for recognizing the true Prophet:
"Hereby know ye the Spirits of God: Every Spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God (1 John 4:2)
According to John's own interpretations in verse one above the word "spirit" is synonymous with the word prophet. So verse two "spirit of God" would mean Prophet of God and "Every spirit" would stand for every Prophet. We have -thus- a right to know as to what the Holy Prophet Muhammad {P.B.u.h.}says about Jesus Christ {P.B.u.h.} .
Jesus {P.B.u.h.} is spoken by name no less than 25 times in the Holy Qur`an . He is honored as:
1- Jesus, son of Mary Isa ibn Maryam
2- The righteous As –saaliheen
3- Spirit of God Ruhu- Llah
4- Word of God Kalimatu- Llah
Therefore the Comforter in John 14:26 can never be the" Holy Ghost however he is MUHAMMAD, peace and blessings of Almighty God be upon him and he accomplished all these wonders in the unbelievably short span of twenty-three years.
Muhammad, who was born in Arabia on 20 August, in the year 570 of the Christian era. In addition, when he died after 63 years, the whole of the Arabian Peninsula had changed from paganism and idol-worship to the worship of One God. From tribal quarrels, and wars to national solidarity and cohesion. From drunkenness and debauchery to sobriety and piety; from lawlessness and anarchy to disciplined living; from utter moral bankruptcy to the highest standards of moral excellence. Human history has never known such a complete transformation of a people or a place before or since.

This is both a great question and a perfect example of why one should let Scripture interpret Scripture and the dangers of “proof-texting.” Here’s the verse in context:
I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in me that does not bear fruit he takes away, and every branch that does bear fruit he prunes, that it may bear more fruit. Already you are clean because of the word that I have spoken to you. Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. I am the vine; you are the bran

As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in me he is thrown away like a branch and withers; and the branches are gathered, thrown into the fire, and burned. If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. By this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be my disciples. (John 15:1–8)
First, in looking at verses 1–2 we should note that Jesus is describing something that would have been very familiar to his disciples, the imagery of a vineyard. Jesus describes Himself as the vine and His disciples as branches that attached or grow out of the vine.
Why does Jesus suddenly say, “You are clean because of the word I have spoken to you” (v. 3)? One would expect something along the lines of pruning. In the previous verse, Jesus says “every branch that does bear fruit he prunes.” The Greek word translated prunes literally means “to cleanse.” So, those branches that bear fruit are continually cleansed so as to bear more fruit.
In verse 3, though, Jesus tells His disciples, “You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you.” When did this happen? Let’s look back a few chapters and we’ll see the answer. At the beginning of John 13 we find this:
Now before the Feast of the Passover, when Jesus knew that his hour had come to depart out of this world to the Father, having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end. During supper, when the devil had already put it into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son, to betray him, Jesus, knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he had come from God and was going back to God, rose from supper. He laid aside his outer garments, and taking a towel, tied it around his waist. Then he poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples’ feet and to wipe them with the towel that was wrapped around him. He came to Simon Peter, who said to him, “Lord, do you wash my feet?” Jesus answered him, “What I am doing you do not understand now, but afterward you will understand.” Peter said to him, “You shall never wash my feet.” Jesus answered him, “If I do not wash you, you have no share with me.” Simon Peter said to him, “Lord, not my feet only but also my hands and my head!” Jesus said to him, “The one who has bathed does not need to wash, except for his feet, but is completely clean. And you are clean, but not every one of you.” For he knew who was to betray him; that was why he said, “Not all of you are clean.” (John 13:1–11, emphasis added)
Did you notice what Jesus said at the end of the passage? He told the disciples that they were clean (except for Judas the betrayer, who was specifically excluded). They had been cleansed from sin in the same way that the Lord promised through the prophet Ezekiel:
I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean from all your uncleannesses, and from all your idols I will cleanse you. (Ezekiel 36:25)
How were they cleansed? By Jesus’ word (John 15:3). Later in John 17, while Jesus was praying, He said this:
Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth. (John 17:17)
Sanctify is another way of saying “set apart, cleanse.” Just as the Father’s word cleanses and sets us apart, so Jesus’ word does.
John no doubt had this in mind when he wrote this:
If we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin. If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us. (1 John 1:6–10)
Here John, like Jesus, is talking about “daily” cleansing or “washing the feet.”
So, with all that being said, what can we say about John 15:3? When one comes to Christ and trusts Him for salvation, Jesus cleanses him of all his sin. We are now clean as we stand before God.

These words of Jesus, spoken intimately to His Father in heaven immediately before the betrayal, trial, and crucifixion express the deepest longing of the human heart: unbroken intimacy with one who knows, who accepts, and who loves me!
The Basis of the relationship is a shared nature - a oneness that existed before time began (v5). Everyone longs for a transcendent relationship that seems to have neither start nor end. Jesus simply reminds His Father that they have been together before space-time came to be.
The Beauty of the relationship is shared glory - giving and receiving equally (v 1, 4 and 5). No one settles for hollow flattery or surface-level superlatives (“Oh, you’re just fantastic!”). True intimacy yields a depth of substance where Jesus knows what actually pleases His Father. Before becoming incarnate as a child, the rich conversations between Father and Son included their many points of disappointment with the attitude and behavior of humans and also the finer points of satisfaction with the few people who thrilled them. Jesus spent time in the Presence of His Father (John 3) remembering these conversations and intentionally bringing pleasure to Him.
The Bounds of the relationship is the confident commitment that Father will see Jesus through a painful death, burial and resurrection - and then bring Him into the eternal presence for a glorious reunion (v 5). What joy when you know a love and intimacy that will carry you through the worst that evil incarnate can throw at you, confident in the victory over even death.
Some students of this passage may focus instead on the definition or perhaps the declaration of “eternal life” - knowing Father and Son. Once we realize that our Creator (Father, Son and Holy Spirit) share with one another the timeless quality of shared intimacy that we long for, it is easy to realize that such a relationship is “eternal life.”
I’m curious what translation you use, I’ve never seen it recorded that way. Have you intentionally modified the verse as a passive-aggressive way of voicing your opposition to the trinity? Or to Christianity in general?
Additionally, to understand any verse you have to put it in context. Here’s the verse in context.
“But now I am going away to the one who sent me, and not one of you is asking where I am going. Instead, you grieve because of what I’ve told you. But in fact, it is best for you that I go away, because if I don’t, the Advocate won’t come. If I do go away, then I will send him to you

But in fact, it is best for you that I go away, because if I don’t, the Advocate won’t come. If I do go away, then I will send him to you. And when he comes, he will convict the world of its sin, and of God’s righteousness, and of the coming judgment. The world’s sin is that it refuses to believe in me. Righteousness is available because I go to the Father, and you will see me no more. Judgment will come because the ruler of this world has already been judged.
So, in context, we see this verse shows Jesus proclaiming his divinity and revealing the trinity, God - Jesus - Advocate (Holy Spirit). I understand the controversy of the trinity and that many reject it. I don’t completely understand it either, it is a mystery along the same magnitude of the mystery of a black hole.
I have never seen a black hole, but I know they exist because the science books say they do, and I trust them in that respect. Also, I don’t understand how black holes can exist or how so much mass can exist in such a (relatively) small area. In the same way, even though I have never seen the trinity, nor do I understand how it can exist, I believe it does exist because scripture says it does.
It is irrational to me that one might expect a person to have blind faith in what is written in science texts, then criticize that same person for having “blind faith” in Biblical texts. It is even more irrational when what is written in the Bible has proven itself true over and over and over again. Yet, I have had no experience that proves to me that a black holes really exist or that black holes even matter to me during the course of my puny life here on Earth.
That is, perhaps, an imperfect analogy, but it is the best I can come up with in the short time I have to respond to this.

Only the Holy Spirit can convict people of sin and lead them to repentance. Only through the Holy Spirit can a person attain faith in Christ. So if you are facing a moral decision between what is right and wrong from a Biblical standpoint, and the words and teachings of Jesus are your moral compass for making that decision, that is the guidance of the Holy Spirit acting in a believer’s life.
Jesus reaffirms this statement in John 14 26.
But the Advocate,
the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name,
will teach you all things
and will remind you of everything I have said to you.

In the grammatical construction of the Greek language here John makes a point of saying “the Word became flesh”, Since he does not use an article with sarx (flesh), this sentence cannot be translated “flesh became the Word”. Many modern cults would have us believe that our Lord began from a human birth, like all mankind, and rather evolved into someone divine. This verse also refutes the Docetists (ancient and modern) who theorize that Jesus was only a phantom. His human body was not a real body, they say He could not really feel hunger, weariness, sorrow and pain. He was rather a ghostly apparition, and not flesh. They are loathe to apply the word flesh, with its connotations of weakness and frailty, to God.
It is even a weakness of many Christians today to emphasize so strongly the deity of Jesus that they tend to forget that Jesus Christ was fully a man as well. What a glorious meaning this has for us—“the Word became flesh”. Since we are flesh and blood, and enslaved by the fear of death, Jesus shared with us this nature in order that He might relieve us of this terrible fear which chains all humanity. He conquered Satan and took away his power of death! Furthermore, Jesus shared in our fleshly nature, without sin, that He might become our Eternal High Priest. We have a High Priest interceding before God on our behalf Who has been “touched with the feeling of our infirmities . . . tempted in all points like as we are . . .” (cf. Heb_2:14-15; Heb_4:14-16), Manifold are the blessings we partake of through the incarnation. We see God’s power demonstrated—to forgive sins (Mar_2:9-12), over death (Joh_11:43-44), over disease (Luk_17:11-19), over the elements (Mat_14:22-33).
This Word “became flesh and dwelt among us”. The word “dwelt” is translated from skenao which means literally “tabernacled or tented,” John goes on to say parenthetically that “we (the disciples) beheld his glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father . . .” This phrase would be full of meaning to Israelites. When the “glory of God” dwelt with Israel, He dwelt in their tabernacle and in their temple in the Holy of Holies (Exo_40:34; 1Ki_8:11). The “glory of God” means simply the presence of God. God’s presence was among men in bodily form—he ate, drank, conversed, slept, prayed with them. These twelve men, in particular, saw and “handled” the “Word of life” for approximately three years (cf. 1Jn_1:1-4). What the Shechinah had been in the tabernacle (the dwelling of God in the midst of God’s people), the Word was then in human flesh—and the Holy Spirit is now in the Word written on the hearts of men and women (2Co_3:2-3; Heb_8:10). Jesus says that His disciples are given this glory—this presence of God (Joh_17:22-23).
There seems to be a reference in “we beheld his glory,” etc., to the transfiguration of Christ. John was one of the three privileged to be an eyewitness to this glorious event (cf. 1Jn_1:1-4; 2Pe_1:16-18). This glory which the disciples beheld (throughout the earthly ministry of Jesus—Joh_2:11; Joh_5:41; Joh_11:4) was so awesome and magnificent that it could be nothing less than divine glory. Glory that an ONLY UNIQUE (monogenes) SON has from His divine Father. (See Special Study on “He Gave The Only Son He Had,” pp. 125.)
Endless application could be made concerning Joh_1:14. But we shall never drink of its sweet nectar to the full until we “know as we are known.” It can be accounted for on no less than divine inspiration that John could express this great profoundity in such terse and simple words—a mystery on which the greatest philosophers have spent lifetimes—“the Word became flesh and dwelt among us”!

Jesus died and was raised up by the POWER OF GOD (Romans 6:4). Your spirit was born dead in sin (Romans 5:12) to whom Jesus commanded “You must be born again of the Spirit” (John 3:7–8, 20:22). Therefore, in order to become a Christian, you must believe that His POWER can also raise your DEAD spirit up that we receive after Holy Spirit baptism (Acts 1:5, 8). Do you BELIEVE Jesus can do that (John 1:12–13)?

John 12:23- 25
- 23 But Jesus answered them, saying: “The hour has come for the Son of man to be glorified. 24 Most truly I say to YOU, Unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains just one [grain]; but if it dies, it then bears much fruit. 25 He that is fond of his soul destroys it, but he that hates his soul in this world will safeguard it for everlasting life.
When you read the surrounding verses it makes it clear that Jesus’ is speaking of his sacrificial death.

John 12:26–28
- 26 If anyone would minister to me, let him follow me, and where I am, there my minister will be also. If anyone would minister to me, the Father will honor him. 27 Now I am troubled, and what should I say? Father, save me out of this hour. Nevertheless, this is why I have come to this hour. 28 Father, glorify your name.” Then a voice came out of heaven: “I have glorified it and will glorify it again.”
It was foretold in prophesy that a seed would crush Satan and his rebellion.
Genesis 3:14,15
- 14 And Jehovah God proceeded to say to the serpent: “Because you have done this thing, you are the cursed one out of all the domestic animals and out of all the wild beasts of the field. Upon your belly you will go and dust is what you will eat all the days of your life. 15 And I shall put enmity between you and the woman and between your seed and her seed. He will bruise you in the head and you will bruise him in the heel.”
Satan claimed that he could turn anyone away from serving God. (See Job chapters 1 and 2) Jesus’ obedience to God even to death proved Satan wrong! (John 20:17; 1 Corinthians 11:3)
Philippians 2:5–11
- Keep this mental attitude in you that was also in Christ Jesus, 6 who, although he was existing in God’s form, did not even consider the idea of trying to be equal to God. 7 No, but he emptied himself and took a slave’s form and became human. 8 More than that, when he came as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to the point of death, yes, death on a torture stake. 9 For this very reason, God exalted him to a superior position and kindly gave him the name that is above every other name, 10 so that in the name of Jesus every knee should bend—of those in heaven and those on earth and those under the ground— 11 and every tongue should openly acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father.
John 14:16,17 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever— the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.

Obviously he’s talking about the Holy Spirit, not some some false prophet who showed up 600 years later, long after the apostles were dead.

Acts 2:1–4 “When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.”
Chapter 1, Verse 14 of the Gospel of John is all about the manifestation of the Word (Logos) technically defined as Incarnation. The verse reads thus:
And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us (and we beheld his glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father), full of grace and truth. (ASV)
Drawing our attention to the force of the following words will enable us to understand the meaning of the entire verse:

- glory as of the only begotten from the Father,
- full of grace and truth.

And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us (and we beheld his glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father), full of grace and truth. (ASV)

- the Word became flesh
- and dwelt among us,
- and we beheld his glory,
- glory as of the only begotten from the Father,
- full of grace and truth.
The Word became flesh - The Word (ὁ λόγος), who has been existing from all eternity with the Father (John 1:1-2), manifested His power in Creation (John 1:3) and in influence on the minds of men (John 1:9, 12-13), now manifests Himself in the form of a man of flesh. In other words, the Word has not ceased to be but He is now made what He has not been before. The Infinite and Immaterial unites with the finite and material; the Incarnate Word is one, not two personalities, but has two natures - Divine and human. While retaining all the essential properties of the Word, He entered into a new mode of being, not a new being. That is to say, the Divine and Eternal Word condescends to unite Himself to our inferior nature.
A commentator says,” The incarnation was not a mere accident of His substantial being. "He became flesh, and did not clothe Himself in flesh."“ Therefore, remark that the Son of God, called the Word, was made truly man, as flesh often signifies in Scripture (eg. Genesis 6:12; Psalm 65:2; Isaiah 40:5, 6), not a vile, despicable, mortal man. Barnes' Notes on the Bible expounds:
And the Word was made flesh - The word "flesh," here, is evidently used to denote "human nature" or "man." See Matthew 16:17; Matthew 19:5; Matthew 24:22; Luke 3:6; Romans 1:3; Romans 9:5. The "Word" was made "man."This is commonly expressed by saying that he became"incarnate." When we say that a being becomes "incarnate," we mean that one of a higher order than man, and of a different nature, assumes the appearance of man or becomes a man. Here it is meant that "the Word," or the second person of the Trinity, whom John had just proved to be equal with God, became a man, or was united with the man Jesus of Nazareth, so that it might be said that he "was made flesh."
Was made - This is the same word that is used in John 1:3; "All things were made by him." It is not simply affirmed that he was flesh, but that he was made flesh, implying that he had pre-existence, agreeably to John 1:1. This is in accordance with the doctrine of the Scriptures elsewhere. Hebrews 10:5; "a 'body' hast thou prepared me." Hebrews 2:14; "as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same." 1 John 4:2; "Jesus C hrist is come in the flesh." See also 1 Timothy 3:16; Philippians 2:6; 2 Corinthians 8:9; Luke 1:35. The expression, then, means that he became a man, and that he became such by the power of God providing for him a body. It cannot mean that the divine nature was "changed" into the human, for that could not be; but it means that the λόγος Logos, or "Word," became so intimately united to Jesus that it might be said that the Logos, or "Word" "became" or "was" a man, as the soul becomes so united to the body that we may say that it is one person or a man.
And dwelt among us - This literally means “the Word tabernacled among us,” perhaps alluding to divine residence in ancient times, first in the tabernacle, and afterward in the temple, where He manifested His presence and glory (see Exodus 25:8; 29:42–43; 40:2, 35–38; 1 Chronicles 16:1–43; cf. Matthew 23:38, 39) and with reference to God's permanent dwelling among His people (Leviticus 26:11; Psalm 68:18; 132:13, 14; Ezekiel 37:27).
In truth, Christ’s human nature is the true tabernacle, or temple of His Deity, and therein resides the fullness of the Godhead bodily, Colossians 2:9. The flesh serves as His tabernacle and temple:
But Christ having come a high priest of the good things to come, through the greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this creation, (Hebrews 9:1)
Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up. The Jews therefore said, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou raise it up in three days? But he spake of the temple of his body. (John 2:19-21)
All this points to the future redemption of the believer’s body when God will tabernacle with them in the new earth (Revelation 7:15; 12:12; 13:6; 21:3).
Adam Clarke Commentary explains the rest of the key words in the text:
We beheld his glory -This refers to the transfiguration, at which John was present, in company with Peter and James.
The glory as of the only begotten -That is, such a glory as became, or was proper to, the Son of God; for thus the particleὡςshould be here understood. There is also here an allusion to the manifestations of God above the ark in the tabernacle: see Exodus 25:22; Numbers 7:89; and this connects itself with the first clause, he tabernacled, or fixed his tent among us. While God dwelt in the tabernacle, among the Jews, the priests saw his glory; and while Jesus dwelt among men his glory wasmanifested in his gracious words and miraculous acts.
The only begotten of the Father -That is, the only person born of a woman, whose human nature never came by the ordinary way of generation; it being a mere creation in the womb of the virgin, by the energy of the Holy Ghost.
Full of grace and truth -Full of favor, kindness, and mercy to men; teaching the way to the kingdom of God, with all the simplicity, plainness, dignity, and energy of truth.
Certainly, the eternal Word, Jesus Christ, came in the world to take our nature upon Him, and dwelt among us. The Son of God was in the world, but not of it. He came not only to His own possession, but appeared visibly:
That which was from the beginning, that which we have heard, that which we have seen with our eyes, that which we beheld, and our hands handled, concerning the Word of life and the life was manifested, and we have seen, and bear witness, and declare unto you the life, the eternal life , which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us); that which we have seen and heard declare we unto you also, that ye also may have fellowship with us: yea, and our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ: (1 John 1:1-3; cf. Philippians 2:7–8; 1 Timothy 3:16).
Jesus came in order to save the lost world and raise us, sinful creatures, to the place of dignity and happiness. According to Chuck Smith , “The Word became flesh and dwelt among us for a short time, that we might become spirit and dwell with Him forever.”

There are probably 1000 ways in which Mohammed is not like Jesus (not truthful, not sent by God, didnt know the scriptures at all well, not prophesied in the Bible, polygamous, groomed a child of 6 and raped her when she was 9 … I’ll stop there). Also, as a human, he can't dwell in anybody. And since he wasn't born for several hundred years it was impossible for him to be with the disciples Jesus was speaking to at the time.
