First: technology is your friend. There is no reason to pay your bills by check when you can do it online. There is no reason to go to an ATM or inside the bank itself when you can check your account online. There is no reason to work at McDonalds if you can make the same money online. Technology is your friend.
Education is not always a gateway to opportunity. Occasionally, it's a waste of time.
There are reasons for doing things besides making money. If it doesn't cost a lot of money, then it doesn't need to make any, either. If I already have a job and a good income, then I don't need to be hell-bent on making more. It's okay if you sometimes read a book or go on a walk or something. It doesn't have to involve profit.
You know that thing you like to say to younger people - "The world doesn't owe you anything?" Well, guess what? Your children don't owe you anything. Yeah, you raised them. That was your job. You don't get anything for it. "I did what I was supposed to do!" Well, what, do you want a cookie? Your kids are not even obligated to talk to you, much less take care of you.
