Oh, yes!!
Niagara Falls, Canada.
My wife and I were on vacation, and we were staying in a motel room. We had had some odd occurrences previously, with the TV turning on or off, but nothing too unusual, until …. This room had in indoor Heart shaped hot tub, and we were enjoying the relaxation. We had turned on the TV, sorta 1/2 listening, watching it. When Suddenly, the channels flipped.
We looked at each other, and back to the TV. Sure enough, the channels flipped again. Then, the TV turned off.
I had been a fan of the show Ghost Hunters, back in the day, so I jokingly asked, aloud, “Would you please turn on the TV?” As if on cue, the TV turned on. My wife was looking at me as if I were crazy, but I continued the dialect, between the spirits and I. “Would you please change the station? I don’t care for this one!” and Sure enough, it flipped several stations.
Even I, as a major skeptic, was getting excited. “Could you turn down the volume?” This time it took a few moments, but sure enough, the Volume was turned down. Now I was having fun. I asked for a few more things, not all of which occurred. Still, I was impressed….. Obviously the room was haunted.
UNTIL….
We listened, now that the volume was down… even without our asking, the stations still flipped randomly. The TV still turned on and off, Randomly…
Then we heard it, someone outside the room, presumably a Maintenance Worker, was talking on a walkie talkie. Every time he would speak, he would key the mic, and the TV did something different, change channels, turn off, then on… (although the volume never went up, only down) As we listened, he was working on something, not quite sure what, out in the hall, but every time he keyed the mic, the TV reacted. I even got out of the tub, to turn it off manually, but it came right back on.
At first was really freaky. Especially as, with the volume up, we couldn’t hear him outside. and it would seem to respond to our requests.
Later, I told the front desk, about what had occurred, but she denied ever having a complaint. I explained what I THOUGHT it was, and she laughed. While today I am positive, this was not a paranormal experience, I DO think that someone else with less skepticism, and an already instilled belief system would have sworn, the room was Haunted.
Still, I remember those first few minutes, when I was getting chills and goosebumps. Quite creepy, for a few moments.
