Why the the heat of my laptop vent release heat to the display? When I run the laptop with high performances it releases a big heat to bottom of the display. can display be harmed by it? (Asus vivobook x513 11th gen)
For far too long, laptops have relied on sucking air in from the bottom and exhausting through one or both sides. The problem with air intake at the bottom is that people are blocking it when literally sitting the unit on their laps, couches, beds, or cushions leading to overheats.
There have been some designs which suck on one side and blow on the other, but the internal architecture has to be very carefully planned for this, which adds to expense.
The solution of exhausting up the front of the screen means that air can drawn in on both sides and the exhaust vents are covered when you close the screen. If this exhaust were to be channeled through the back-shell of the screen, it could cause too many problems (including dust).
The front of the screen is very robust even if fragile by human standards. Except for an extreme overheat, which should shut the machine down, you don’t have reason to worry.
Of course, the machine should be regularly serviced to remove dust from internal heat fins.
