(Prepare yourselves, the list is a bit long, unfortunately.)

“You drew that?” as you're still drawing.

No, some ghosts picked up my pencil midway and started drawing for me. Who the hell do you think is drawing the picture that's currently being drawn?

Can you draw me??

Sure! For a price.

That's always my answer, unless I'm not in the mood for requests/commissions. Then it's just a no.

•WHY DO I NEED TO PAY YOU FOR ART!11!!!?!

Because it's a service that I took time out of my day to do.

That’s like asking a writer, “Ooh, you write? Can you write me a story?” Oh no, they want money for it?! Yeah, maybe because you're wasting their time for something they don't have to do.

•Can you teach me how to draw?

Well, anyone can draw, it's just the skill level that's involved. We can't take you through all the years we took to learn how to draw well.

•You're such a good drawer!

Aw, thank y-

Wait, I'm a piece of furniture?

•I can’t even draw a stickman, haha!

How original, Linda.

•Can I look through your sketchbook?

What the… NO?! Would you ask someone who writes to look through their diary because you saw them writing a story? No! It's something private that we don't want to show everyone!

Which leads to…

•There's bad stuff in there, isn't there??

Yeah, maybe, but it's for different reasons:

  1. We draw nude people as references.
  2. We are willing to do NSFW commissions.
  3. Sometimes we make vent art and don't feel comfortable with sharing it.
  4. We probably don't have anything weird in there and just don't want to show everyone our pieces.

•*while drawing* That looks weird!

Yeah, because I'M NOT DONE YET.

Did you expect 2 circles and some lines to immediately look like the Mona Lisa?

•Your commission prices are too high!

Then don't buy from me? I'm just trying to earn some money. I won't lower my already-low-enough prices just because you want a drawing of a dog.

•I bet I could draw that!

Literally no one cares, dude. If you can, go ahead, have fun.

•Looks okay, but…

This one is a little mixed. If it's from someone who knows what they’re saying and actually knows about art, then constructive criticism is alright!

But, when someone who is crap at it themselves tries to critique art just because the style is different than what they've seen, then it gets a little frustrating.

•Your art sucks.

Wow… ouch? We have feelings too. If you're gonna take time out of your day just to tell us how shitty you think we are at drawing, then I suggest you 180° out of here.

Sorry if the list is a bit long! But, sadly, there are enough annoying quotes from real people to fill a whole book.
