The movies took away all of Ron’s bravery, left in only his comic relief moments, and gave most of his most important lines to hermione.

They turned Harry’s best friend into a comedic coward instead of the loving, strong, brave, and streetwiss wizard he was in the books.

This also had the effect of taking away all of Hermione’s kindest moments and turning her into a full blown superhuman who knows everything with no weaknesses except that she is not very nice.

Its the main reason why people who love the movies think hermione is a better fit for harry than ron. Because movie ron is stupid.
