When my daughter and I were traveling in France in 2009, we were to take the train from Dijon to Paris. There was a malfunction on the tracks somewhere down the line, so we were loaded onto a bus and took country roads to the next station. The amazing thing was we saw so many lovely things, not the least of which was a castle with a moat surrounding it. The castle was close enough to the road that we could see it and the moat in detail. So, what began as a major inconvenience ended in a pleasant side trip.
