Hi,

Yes, you can always learn digital marketing on your own without joining any digital marketing class provided you’re dedicatedly following a given expert’s learning guide or a free training material online while abiding by the steps of sequence told to learn & implement.

For all who wants to learn digital marketing on their own, here’s the suggestion out of my 15+ years of experience;

  1. Learn to create a Website or Blogsite (mainly with WordPress/Blogger) to initiate the need for digital marketing implementation & promotion. It’s not digital marketing, but a website that comes first on which you implement digital marketing practices to promote your product/service ads on different platforms to either drive traffic, engagement, leads, or sales
  2. Why WordPress blog or website because maximum sites backend CRM is of WordPress, and to practice on the same will be advantageous in the future
  3. Next integrate Google Analytics, Google Search Console & Remarketing tracking codes in your website to track, measure or re-target audience at any point of time to not lose any audience cookie from day 1
  4. Then we’ve to learn the steps to do a proper Website Audit, Website Analysis & Competitive Analysis to help carry out good digital marketing work in either SEO, PPC, SMM, Email Marketing, Video Marketing, App Marketing, Affiliate Marketing, or Mobile Marketing
  1. Then learn the essential digital marketing course topics step by step to an extent of your required level to have a good learning. Rest be assured, it takes time to strategize digital marketing the best
  2. Make sure your Google Analytics learning is very strong, since many individuals never focus on this tool data, and that’s the big mistake we all do. Give more focus to Google Analytics tool usage after you’ve completed digital marketing learning to be a step ahead of many digital marketers in the market
  3. Complete the different digital marketing certifications to keep your fundamental of digital marketing right to support with good digital marketing learning
  4. Know the free essential digital marketing tools that every digital marketer uses to take a top-notch on their digital marketing project performance & delivery
  5. Try to refer different case studies and make sure you take up a goal or objective for your website or blogsite to achieve with your digital marketing learning and implementations in a given timeline because if you can achieve the desired result for your blog then the same experience can be implemented on a client’s project.
  6. Once you’re done with the above points, now you attend different webinars conducted online, participate in group forums and engage in discussions, go on discussion with digital marketing fellow mates, follow your mentor’s blog & videos regularly. For e.g.,

Now you’re all prepared to continue with your learning process back from your home without any digital marketing classes.

And to add up, the reason for many to prefer a digital marketing classroom training is because;

  • 1–1 Guidance during the course session
  • The immediate solution to your doubts, challenges, mistakes & clarifications then & there, which maynt be known when you go with your own training procedure back from your home
  • Discussion and presentations within batchmates during classroom training to give exposure to your communication and presentation confidence which is very much needed during job interview rounds
  • Working on live projects, practical guidance from trainers, industry-led expert trainers sharing their case studies which won’t be possible during your self-learning
  • At last, having a mentor or guide in your initial days of learning to show you the right direction, and later you taking up your learning independently is a good way to start with. Rest is your call.

Hope the details will help you the best.
