My funniest at Bellevue Hospital.

We admitted a homeless man, found under a pile of leaves in Central Park. His clothes were beyond salvaging, and, as with most patients like this we often incinerated their clothes due to infestation. The man was alert but on a ventilator and could not speak. When he heard us say “just burn his coat” he became very agitated. We finally calmed him down and gave him pen and paper to write what he couldn't say.

He wrote “don't burn it. Look in lining”

Well to our amazement this homeless, disheveled man living in Central Park under a pile of leaves…………had $20,000 in CASH sewn in the lining of that coat!!!!

Who would have thought THAT!!!!!
