I can only speak for myself but I have grown up with Harry Potter and nothing can even come close to the books/movies. Its the original and have a special place in my heart.

I don't hate the fantastic beast I just kinda find them long and a little bit boring. I also find the plot kinda confusing and there is a lot of things to keep track of. Ive watched the movies multiple times and I just can't love them.

It might have something to do with me constantly comparing them to Harry Potter because it is a sequel and I personally think that when you make a sequel or multiple to such a big movie as the Harry Potter movies they should be just as good and have kinda like the same feeling and even tho they do play some of the same music and there is character's as dumbledore in both I just have a hard time seeing it being in the same universe.

I would have liked it more if the sequel was about tom riddle or Lilly and James growing up. Harry Potter is so iconic that I would just rather have them leave the Harry Potter universe alone than have them make other stories about something diffrent that really hasn't that much with the Harry Potter books to do in the harry potter universe.

I think I personally would have liked the movies more if they would have made them in a new magic world that had nothing to do with Harry Potter because its really hard not to compare the two of them. It might just be me who feel this way.
