I’ve answered this before but I want to read it again. I was an OTR truck driver (not for very long, wasn’t my thing) just starting out. I stopped at a truck stop, but had run out of food, money, clean clothes, and all I had was some peanut butter and crackers. I asked the lady at the restaurant if I could sit at a table if I didn’t order anything, explaining my situation. She told me that she wasn’t going to see me in that situation and gave me some fried chicken and potato wedges. BEST meal I’ve ever tasted.
