The Annapurna Base Camp Trek is found in Nepal within the Annapurna locale of the hills. This famous trek moves through a variety of terrains, climate and geographical structures starting from the sub-tropical forests and rice terraces up to the alpine pastures of the highlands. It is usually initiated in Lo Pokhara which is the starting point to most treks in the Annapurna circuit. The trek goes through such appealing villages as Chhomrong and Bamboo where trekkers can feel wel come by Gurnung and Magar ethnic groups. Setting off gently through the woods and meadows and as you climb up, on the first phase of the trek you get to see mountains like Annapurna South, Hiunchuli and at the climax of the trek, one can view the gigantic peak of Machapuchare but the final destination is the Annapurna I base camp which is at an altitude of 4130 meters or in other words 13550 feet tall. This trek actually covers a lot of natural sites, cultural sites and once you reach the base camp you’ll actually feel relieved.
