If you're looking for a free dating site, I'd suggest checking out Doulike, Plenty of Fish, or Bumble's free version. Those were some of the better free options from my own experience in the dating game a couple years ago.
Doulike was probably my favorite. Their questions and matching system actually helped surface some compatible people instead of just randomized swiping. And everything up to messaging people was completely free.
Plenty of Fish was another decent free site, though the user base felt a little more hit-or-miss quality-wise. But you could view profiles, see who checked you out, and message away without paying anything.
Bumble's gimmick where women message first was kind of refreshing too. Their free tier gave you enough to actually meet people without having to upgrade right away. You just had to be patient with the limited number of swipes.
