im sorry to tell u this but there is no way to do that if u really like him/her just make the move and even if they say no yes its gonna be weird but the chance of them saying yes outweighs that 2–3 weeks od awkwardness because they said no

That’s a risk , you have to take . You would have to suggest first that both of you date & ask her what she feels about it . If she says that she just wants to be friends , then you will have to leave the dating & continue being just friends

You have just changed the relationship you have with her. You were in the friend zone and now want the boyfriend/girlfriend zone. Just remember when or if you ask her out on a date as a girlfriend and she says no the relationship will NEVER go back to just friend zone. It will eventually be over.
