  • Rule No. 1: Mother is always right.
  • Rule No. 2: If you think mother is wrong, please refer to Rule No. 1.
  • I had my own phone when I was 13. I had to surrender it every night before they sleep. No phones when there are no classes. No load, too. I only hold it to receive texts/calls from them. No passwords allowed. I set up my Facebook account two years ago (I was 18).
  • No pocket money. I’d always bring my own lunch/snacks at school. They fetch me to and from school. This is when I was in grade school, high school, college, and, believe it or not, at work.
  • They always get my school allowance and salary, which is for the whole family. There's a notebook for expenses and stuff. Whatever I owe them in cash, should be paid, no matter how small the amount is. Not vice versa, unless I want to be nagged on their expenses in bringing me up.
  • No team buildings, team eat-out, or any activities outside work...the same when I was in school. I haven't joined a single field trip, Christmas party, etc.
  • Not a single missed church meeting...or else...
  • Bedroom door should never be locked, not even when I'm changing , because it means I'm doing something suspicious. Mum should be allowed to see everything (everything!) because we're both girls.
  • No reading Harry Potter. (Yes, I'm a big HP fan). In fact, I'm not allowed to read novels at all.
  • No earphones. Music should be played aloud so they hear it, to make sure nothing inappropriate.
  • No online computer games. The games we play are games they play (Hi, Candy Crush).
  • We always eat together, whether or not I feel like eating.
  • We watch movies together, after my Mum browsed on them.
