Thyroid cancer is highly treatable, especially when detected early. The most common types, papillary and follicular thyroid cancer, have excellent prognosis and high survival rates. Treatment typically involves surgery to remove part or all of the thyroid gland, followed by radioactive iodine therapy to eliminate any remaining cancer cells. In some cases, targeted therapy or external radiation may be used. Regular follow-ups and thyroid hormone replacement therapy are essential. The overall outlook is positive, with most patients leading normal, healthy lives post-treatment.
