Is this a serious question? China will not have any “Chinese” approach. They will steal (through industrial espionage) like they have for everything else. Or companies will order parts from numerous Chinese companies and the CCP will gather it all and reverse engineer the product.

After seeing AI’s affect on society, then the Chinese Communist Party may decide to be ethical if it threatens them. Privacy? No one has privacy as far as Red China sees it.
