Until I was 20 years old I drank almost nothing but rainwater from tanks which were filled by collection from a house roof. Hundreds of thousands of other people in towns and out of towns did then and still do now. There is no piped water on farms.
While the town water was safe to drink, people preferred unfiltered, unboiled rainwater. A new mother might boil water for an infant, but that’s all.
With all the imbecilic panic about water seen on Quora you’d think that all these hundreds if thousands of people would have gone down with massive epidemics of cholera, dysentery and who knows what else.
But they didn't, not even small children.
So collect your rainwater in a clean container and enjoy it.
