Oh, Dear.
Let’s talk about Word morphology.
Morphology is the study of words and their parts. Morphemes, like prefixes, suffixes, and base words, are the smallest meaningful units of meaning. When you’re trying to work on reading comprehension, understanding, and even phonics, looking at a word's morphemes is the best way to learn all about a word. With us so far?

SO.
“Athiest” is a word in two parts with three morphemes. You have the prefix “A” and the base word “theist.”
The word “theism” describes a belief in God or gods; the first morpheme is derived from the Greek word “theos,” which means “God.” The suffix “ism” is derived from the Greek “-ισμός (-ismós)” (when used as a noun suffix) denoting a characteristic, devotion, or adherence. When you change “ism” to “ist,” you are changing to a suffix that goes back to the Greek -ιστής (-istḗs), and it is used to add a couple of different meanings to different words, but in this case,, "believer."
So, “theism” is a belief in God or gods, and a ”theist” is a believer in God or gods. Simple so far, right?
Now, the prefix “a” is derived from the Greek “a- or an-” meaning “not,” and in English, it is attached to an affirmative word to denote “not,” whatever the word you attach it to means.
So when you say someone is a theist, you mean that they believe in God or gods.” When you add the prefix “a” to that, you flip the meaning and say that person does “NOT” believe in God or gods.
Now, the word “Theism” is not a word specific to the Abrahamic god - note that its meaning is inclusive of all gods, so a Hindu person who believes in many gods is a theist, as were the Romans who believed in an entire pantheon, or the Norse Vikings, the Egyptians, the Aztecs, each with their own beliefs and legends. Even someone who believes in the Abrahamic God, like a Christian, Jew, or Muslim, believes in many other immortal demigod-like entities like Satan, the Arch-Angels Michael and Gabriel, other angels of the Seraphim and Cherubim, demons, and saints. The word “theist” describes anyone who believ...
Well I find you very stupid and uneducated about the meaning of an atheist. An atheist is someone who does not believe in any gods. And most of don't like Hilter? Which I'm confused on, since he has nothing to do with Christianity. As an atheist. I don't warship Satan, even if I did. It is none of tour business. Neither is it your business on anyone's beliefs.
Atheism is not a religion.
Atheism cannot be moral or immoral because it contains no claims.
Atheists don’t worship anybody, let alone Stalin, Mao or Hitler.
Demons don’t exist. Consequently Stalin, Mao and Hitler cannot have been demonic beings.
Stalin, Mao and Hitler are not responsible for one billion deaths combined, let alone one of them alone.
All in all, the typical uninformed atheism question from a theist.
Original question: If atheism is the most moral religion, then why do its followers worship demonic beings like Stalin, Mao, and Hitler, who are all responsible for the deaths of billions

Go away troll. Daniel Green is a fictional character, invented by a lousy late 20th century American author by the name of Bret Easton Ellis, who wrote schlocky novels which for some unaccountable reason have become far too widely respected.
As such none of Patrick Bateman’s unhealthy obsessions with atheists, liberals, and or poop, are worth anyone’s time to respond to.

Think about it. We don't believe that any gods actually exist, so why would we believe in the existence other supposedly supernatural entities reportedly created by entities we don't think are real? We believe all so-called deities are fictional characters created in the minds of ancient people to explain all things that our species didn't have the knowledge or tools at the time to find the real reasons. It's why until fairly recently in history, many diseases were thought to be caused by things like demonic possessions, hexes, punishments from one or more supposed deities, etc. Epilepsy is a good example of one of the many diseases that people used to think was the result of demonic possession.
But science, especially medical research and science, has come a very long way in the last couple hundred years. Thanks to the accumulated knowledge of countless scientists, most of us know better now.
There are still a few holdouts that refuse to acknowledge that the various sciences have revealed through emperical evidence how the human body and the true nature of the natural world, including the universe, actually works. And they have done this by using the scientific method.
That said, some atheists do believe in some supernatural phenomena. Though I couldn't say why, because I don't understand how they can selectively put aside their skepticism for any other equally unproven and unverifiable concept just as they do with gods.
Yes, genuinely they do. They can lightly pay attention to your conversation. Satan is usually copying a number of what the angels of Light are doing. Witch doctors, and black magic and more, you ought to noting that once something good is ready to show up for your progress, they understand and first show up to deceive or take away prevent it from happening; as you can confirm by the birth of Jesus Christ; when king Herod was wroth in anger by the birth of Jesus Christ. He issued out a proclamation to search for him. However they fail due to the fact if God almighty has stated it noman can alternate it. For instance in case you desired to get marry to a lady of your personal desires, and choice.
Then Satan is capable of offering a person that will falsely meet your descriptions, in case you blind you might marry that person and later you regret. Rely what most significant is not to hasty and fast in every planned decision. Continual pray approximately every time and ask God for correct route and guidance. Satan has invisible and visible seen eyes allover; he strongly focuses on God`s children, people in general. Let's examine the scripture how Satan has carried out this;
As you could keep in mind the sorcerer who King Saul consulted; 1 (Samuel 28:6-12)
- [6]And when Saul enquired of the LORD, the LORD answered him not, neither by dreams, nor by Urim, nor by prophets.
- [7]Then said Saul unto his servants, Seek me a woman that hath a familiar spirit, that I may go to her, and enquire of her. And his servants said to him, Behold, there is a woman that hath a familiar spirit at Endor.
- [8]And Saul disguised himself, and put on other raiment, and he went, and two men with him, and they came to the woman by night: and he said, I pray thee, divine unto me by the familiar spirit, and bring me him up, whom I shall name unto thee.
- [9]And the woman said unto him, Behold, thou knowest what Saul hath done, how he hath cut off those that have familiar spirits, and the wizards, out of the land: wherefore then layest thou a snare for my life, to cause me to die?
- [10]And Saul sware to her by the LORD, saying, As the LORD liveth, there shall no punishment happen to thee for this thing.
- [11]Then said the woman, Whom shall I bring up unto thee? And he said, Bring me up Samuel.
- [12]And when the woman saw Samuel, she cried with a loud voice: and the woman spake to Saul, saying, Why hast thou deceived me? for thou art Saul.
You must remember that Satan sometimes know your heart design when he visited Sarah in the book of jasher (Jasher 23:76-77),
[76]And Satan went to Sarah, and he appeared to her in the figure of an old man very humble and meek, and Abraham was yet engaged in the burnt offering before the Lord.
[77]And he said unto her, Dost thou not know all the work that Abraham has made with thine only son this day? for he took Isaac and built an altar, and killed him, and brought him up as a sacrifice upon the altar, and Isaac cried and wept before his father, but he looked not at him, neither did he have compassion over him.
Satan is listening attentive to our prayers, but God has never given him power to take decision for what we prayed for. He perceives our moments of doubt as well as our genuine faith in God. He is aware if one fears him. To understand how Satan listens to our prayers, one must seek guidance from God and study the relevant teachings in scripture.of (Jasher 22:48-49)
- [48]And the Lord said to Satan, What is thy word to me concerning all the children of the earth? and Satan answered the Lord and said, I have seen all the children of the earth who serve thee and remember thee when they require anything from thee.
- [49]And when thou givest them the thing which they require from thee, they sit at their ease, and forsake thee and they remember thee no more.
In conclusion, the notion that Satan pays attention to our words does not imply that we will not receive what we request from God. Regardless of whether the devil listens, we must persist in our prayers to God, who hears us consistently, especially when we lead a righteous and holy life. Living a holy life demands greater self-sacrifice and genuine obedience—not merely adherence to human standards, but obedience that aligns with God's will. Our focus should always be on pleasing God rather than seeking the approval of others.
Then your son isn't an atheist. Atheists don't worship any gods or “satanic demons.” Your son sounds deeply disturbed and you should try to get him the mental health care he clearly needs.
Hey, you raised the little twit. There are no “hateful atheist beliefs,” ya tool. Atheists have no belief in gods. Period. That’s it. Hitler was a Christian, and as any atheist will tell you, there’s no such thing as Satan.
Sheesh
Hitler was a Christian.
Think about it. Atheists do not believe in God. So why should they believe in other, supernatural and unverifiable entities such as angels, fairies, pixies, and demons? Basically it is all one and the same.
An atheist is not someone who doesn’t just believe in your god. An atheist is someone who does not believe in any god. Atheists are very unlikely to believe in “luck,” since that is a kind of god-analog. Atheists do not believe in magic. And religion is very magic-minded.

Satan (the Devil) is a kind of magical god-extension. God created Satan. Satan decided he wanted to be on top. God and Satan fight. It really makes no sense for God to create a creature that is almost as strong as Himself, and the Bible makes no claim that way. But Christian doctrine about Satan is far from Biblical!
Yes. I was bemused by the accusation.
It was akin to me stating that I lack belief in Santa and then being accused of worshiping the Easter Bunny. I genuinely think that some theists just haven’t wrapped their heads around the simple concept of atheism.
Satan is a supporting character is a religious construct. It all seems so… hysterical and frankly a wee bit paranoid. There’s enough bad yet mundane sh*t that happens on a regular basis that people don’t need to make up a boogey man.

Right there you have one of the main differences between theists and atheists. Theists expect their children to follow their religion, in general. Atheists don’t. My two sons were encouraged to find their own path. One is an atheist. The other is a deist. My DIL does not attend church regularly but has a spiritual need to attend on occasion. My grandchildren who are 8 and 11 believe in God. I do nothing to dissuade them. In fact, I have encouraged them to pursue their faith as long as it feels right to them. They are extremely bright children and will find their own way toward or away from rel

Wow, I don’t want to kink shame you, but this is a rather elaborate fantasy you have concocted in your mind.
The thing about being an atheist, is not only do I not believe in god but I also don’t believe satan, demons or that hell exists either. Your weird torture porn bend doesn’t change this.
It is entirely possible at the moment of my death I will come to discover I was wrong and there is some sort of afterlife or continued existence. Who knows? I am 100% confident if that does come to pass that this conception of heaven and hell and a vengeful and fragile god is completely wrong. Even if it

Furthermore, why would I want to ride out all of eternity with a bunch of his angry hateful followers. Pass. I will take my chances with the devil and the non-religious folks thank you very much. Peace.
If we did “get that” as you say. We wouldn’t be Atheists, would we? Do you know why we don’t “get it”?
Because God is not a real person - He is just fictional. A fictional character does not consider anything. It does not matter what a character in a book thinks about another group. I get that the Daleks in Doctor Who want to exterminate all humanity and only the Doctor can save us. I also know that the Daleks and the Doctor are not real, just like God and Satan.
I have seen the Doctor and the Daleks in real life, but they are still fictional, the fact that no one has seen God or Satan does not

If atheists don't believe in God, do they believe in the devil?
Believing in no god but believing in the devil makes no sense. Either the devil is the proverbial religious antagonist created by a god. That makes no sense because if there is no god no one would have created such a figure. And if we thought of a devil that somehow came into existence by itself, what would such a creature be but an evil god?
Without fear of contradiction I can say that you will not find a single atheist who believes in the devil.
Maybe you ask the wrong people. Better ask Chistians, since they made up their false narcissistic monster God because they wanted support for suppressing women, an excuse for hating homosexuals, imagined help during religious wars, justification for torturing and executing scientists because their discoveries proved the bible false, and heretics because they had other opinions. Chistians also invented Satan because he seemed to be useful, not only to give misogyne and sadistic men an excuse for witch-hunts but also for blaming everything they can´t tolerate or understand as Satan´s work.

So you better ask the experts. Atheists only refuse to acknowledge the supernatural-being-inventions due to their general inexistence. They feel neither sad nor lonely for it - in the same way a Christian does not feel sad and lonely without Thor´s support or without a mermaid to propose to.

So many errors of fact and logic in this question.
Atheists don’t worship Satan. Satan is part of the pantheon of Jewish/Christian gods so atheists, by definition, don’t believe he exists. And it’s hard to worship someone if you don’t think they exist.
Similar logic will easily demonstrate that no atheist will believe in the existence of “satanic demons” or “demonic gods”.
It’s possible that there are non-atheist liberals who worship Satan. But it will be a tiny number.
Hitler was, of course, a man with some deeply unpleasant beliefs. But atheists don’t worship him. For a start, he was a Catholic.

It’s very hard to see how you can describe George Floyd as “satanic” or “demonic”. Even if we accept that you’re being figurative, he was hardly a paragon of virtue, but he certainly didn’t deserve what happened to him.
So, no, liberals should only be put in prison if they break laws. But people who taught you history and critical thinking should be on trial for crimes again logic.
Atheists! Why don't you stop worshipping Satan, what do you get by it?
Don't parade your stupidity!
When will the most ignorant and gullible religious cultists understand and recognise that atheism is non belief in Amun-Ra Anubis Odin Zeus Quetzalcoatl Hercules Isis Kali Brahmah Allah Yahweh Yeshua Jesus Satan Hades Bealzebub the Flying Spaghetti Monster and all the countless other imaginary undetected and undetectable gods and goddesses invented by long dead shysters and featured exclusively within the ridiculous religious mythological fiction of idiots?
Liar.
What a vile person you are. Using your imaginary son to score points.
As to Hitler he wasn't an athiest! Yes he was Christian.
Athiests don't believe in Satan, a Christian invention. So it is Christians who worship Satan if only indirectly.
The new testament is meant to show a loving god, not a hateful one. Therefore I can only conclude you are n9t a true Christian.
FFS my dude.
Atheists don’t worship Satan because we don’t believe he exists either.
Nor do we believe in Allah, Thor, Quetzalcoatl or Baal.
Atheist means no gods, no attached adversaries, no magical realms.
Why are you so afraid of atheism that you have to omit the one description that actually defines us? We don't believe!
It's not that hard a concept. If god doesn't exist then there is nothing to either worship or to hate. We don't believe, from our perspective, a universe with no gods is the reality which we recognise and accept. Moreover, that one description which you ignored is the very description you would find in the dictionary - had you possessed the honesty to pick one up and actually look up the word.
Yet you just had to go out there and put your own ideas out there as being the ‘true”

So I'll just go with ‘wrong”! Or..just maybe…Yes!…you're that masterpiece of artificial stupidity calling itself QPG (Quora Prompt Generator)
So the real question here is, Why has no-one bitten the bullet and pulled out the damned plug?
Your son is a nut job. That has nothing to do with atheism.
Nice job of parenting, by the way. 🙄
Hello Gaston Crumpler !
Q: My atheist son is dying of cancer. I've been telling him that he will go to hell and burn in the flames for eternity but he doesn't listen. How do I convince him that God hates him for being an atheist?
A: If that is true, you are a horrible parent, and should be ashamed of yourself.
The good thing is that I don’t think it’s true, because your atheist son is also blind, deaf and on a wheelchair.

Satan is a character from the mythical beliefs that include “God”.
We do not believe in “God” nor any of the supporting characters.
So how can we worship Satan?
It’s propaganda. Atheism is associated with belief in Satan or demons by people who want to portray atheism as evil. It’s not even really about attacking atheists so much as it’s to alienate believers from atheists.
You see, atheism—especially in the form of agnostic atheism—is simple and logical: we see no good evidence for gods existing, so we don’t believe in gods. We try to figure out morality and ethics from reason, from experience, and from the people around us. We usually don’t mind much if you believe in some god(s) as long as you’re not harming people or restricting their freedoms base

We try to figure out morality and ethics from reason, from experience, and from the people around us. We usually don’t mind much if you believe in some god(s) as long as you’re not harming people or restricting their freedoms based on your beliefs. It’s easy for anyone to grow a seed of doubt into a bloom of agnosticism.
By portraying us as evil, these people are “defending” their faith: believers who think we’re evil will be inclined to avoid us or doubt us. It doesn’t matter that the claims are nonsensical—it’s just a little social push to stay away from those “evil” atheists.
In the bigger picture, it hurts the cause of those theists making these lies, because anyone open-minded enough to listen to what we actually believe will very quickly discover that they’ve been lied to, and that’s industrial-strength fertilizer for the aforementioned seed of doubt.
The question is asked with all the ignorance of someone who is to lazy to find out what athiesm is. Where did you get your ill informed assumption from?
It's simply not possible for an athiest to worship Satan.
Satan according to the bible is the god that rules over the earth and its people who was given the role when the creator god abandoned the world and departed from the world of men
No. To an Atheist, that question is like me asking you,” Do you believe that Batman is real?” and then following up with,” Ok, what about the Joker?”
I don’t think he’s ever evil now that he’s retired, although I would hate to have been the hockey forward who faced down this particular wing player.
I don’t think he’s ever evil now that he’s retired, although I would hate to have been the hockey forward who faced down this particular wing player.
Ok, look. Atheism is not a philosophy, it has no morality, it has no beliefs at all. The only thing atheism is is a non-belief in a supreme being. That’s it.
Atheists can be moral, immoral, amoral, you name it.
As for the foolish claim that atheists worship “demonic beings” like Stalin, Mao, and Hitler (who, by the way, was not an atheist at all), this is just ridiculous.
Atheists do not worship. Full stop. And there are plenty of religious people who are evil and immoral.
Tomas de Torquemada, Osama bin Ladin, Jim Jones, Cotton Mathers……none of these people were atheists.
What was your son doing when you caught him? What is being an atheist, anyway?
Threats and bullying are not a good way to get things done. Do you actually know God hates atheists and will send them to Hell? You are lying, if you do not.
If you are a good father, I fear for your kids and your country.
No, that’s just another ridiculous and malicious lie spread by Christians.
No, not okay. How about you sit down and talk with your son about why you think he should believe what you believe - just because you say so. How about listening to what he has to say about why he is an atheist.
His point will be that he has come to understand that there has never been any evidence of the existence of any gods (including the one you choose to believe in).
You will then be in the same position as millions of people who have tried (and failed) to come up with any evidence. So…..no, not punishment. How about praise for his ability to think clearly for himself?
You are such a liar. And so stupid that you don't understand that atheists don't believe in demons, either.
You must be a Trump-loving troll or just a Russian/Trump bot because this question is so ridiculous.
Atheists do not worship Satan or any other god whatsoever. Liberals are all about fact and truth, wherever they may take us. However, there are people who do worship Satan. They're called Satanists. As for George Floyd? Seriously? His family has gotten justice for him so leave that one alone.
Hitler? Are you aware that it's your “conservative" brethren and sistren who are the true Hitler worshipers in this country? So stop with the projection. Also, I'm very much aware of the White Jesus picture

Also, I'm very much aware of the White Jesus picture and the satanic version of God that once again, you and your “conservative" brethren and sistren are worshiping, because the real Jesus would never have tolerated this bullshit.
What we should do is put “conservatives" in prison instead because there's plenty of evidence of wrongdoing there, starting with an insurrection on January 6,, 2021 and moving from there.
(I'm aware that I might violate BNBR but this entire question violates BNBR.)
I can’t decide. Are you really that stupid, or are you trolling?
You’ve lost your marbles. This ranting is quite comical. How on earth are you holding atheist responsible for the delusional mind of your son.
Given that atheist do not believe in a God by virtue we do not believe in any other form of deities of any kind good or bad.
Seriously get a grip. If anything you should be talking to your God, who you know is responsible for the creation of Satan. By the way there is a difference between Mao and Hitler.
Dude we don’t listen to hitler or satin we just don’t believe in gods stop blaming the atheists and actually do crap about it and how are we hateful a lotta theists (not all) are hateful and discrimate between lgbt people or atheists like you.
When christian/muslim/sexist biggot whining of “hatefull belief" i would be amused if it wasnt so repulsive
There are no demons so get over yourself.
If your son “worships Hitler and Mao” (assuming this question is not 100% phony trolling bullshit), regardless of what he may call himself, he’s not an atheist. Atheists do not worship either people or any of religion’s made-up gods.
If atheists can be said to worship anything, it is reason and truth - not as sources of divine rule, but as tools with which to search for wisdom and understanding.
Your atheist son doesn't worship them at all. He just tells you that to piss you off.
