The entire Jurassic Park/World series. The lesson at the end of each is that scientific progress is bad, because - wait for it: people die (apparently, they wouldn’t, otherwise). Nobody seems to care that the problems are all due to either corporate or personal greed (or a combination of the two), NOT scientific and technological progress. If your babysitter turns out to be a cannibal, and eats your kids, then the problem isn’t babysitting, per se: it’s shoddy background checks… and, y’know, cannibalism.

Personally, I’d LOVE it if they brought dinosaurs back, and placed them in the very zoos, preserves, and parks depicted (I’m admittedly LESS enthusiastic about their military (and far-less-legitimate fighting-and-killing-people) applications). And, righteous denigration to the contrary, I’d look forward to ‘Coupon Day.’
