My weirdest date ever was the last blind date I will ever have.

In the “olden days,” I used to blind date with the help of online dating sites. Because I was a gentleman of sorts, I would take the woman to dinner on the first date. The last time I did so blindly, I picked up a woman at her apartment and took her to a restaurant near her home that turned out to be quite pricey.

The woman ordered lobster tail, several cocktails, and an exotic dessert. From the beginning, I was disappointed with my date, because she did not look like her photo. The expense of the meal was high, and I was with a woman I wasn’t attracted to.

After dinner, I drove her straight back to her apartment and thanked her for joining me on a date. I was so depressed, after I dropped her off at home, that I drove to a bar and had a drink. At the bar, I met the woman of my dreams, who eventually moved in and was a wonderful companion for several years.
