The other morning, my daughter woke up, flung her arms around me, kissed me on my cheek and said:

“Mummy, I love you sooooo much. I wish you were a kid again, so that we could be best friends and play together all the time.”

I replied, “I love you too, darling, but it’s better if I stay a grown up. You have lots of friends, but only one mummy. When you grow up, then you can be my friend.”

She thought about this for a second, “Then I will be your mummy!”
