It is an absolute misconception that leads to the understanding that Negative energy is abhorrent. Even in the English language, the etymology does not suggest such a shade of meaning, as the word ‘NEGATIVE’ merely indicates only the absence of any distinguishing features.

In Chinese cosmology, it indicates ‘opposite, but inter-connected entities or forces”. The analogy of electricity pretty much follows the dictionary definition in that from a higher potential of +ive it flows to -ve ie a zero potential. However, nowhere is the masculine energy, which is considered the more potent, considered as NEGATIVE as is suggested in the question. However, suffice it to say that both are considered complementary and not considered NEGATIVE in a discriminatory sense.

To take matters to a higher level of clarity and to emphasize that it might help to use the analogy of the structure of the atom, where the proton is the central mass, positively charged having a heavier mass being central to the atom is considered feminine and more static than the leptons that whizz around at tremendous speed, but both together making the unit electrically stable. Here, like in the yin and the yang, there is no specific attribute of color, as they switch between black and white as per the situation one contained in the other as per the dominance in a specific situation as in the image below (courtesy- the internet)

In order to dispel the prejudice against certain colors, one needs to understand how opposites complement each other. I take the white paper to make a sketch, but without a dark pen, it is impossible to make a sketch. So, let us understand that we live in a world of opposites, and to get obsessed with one of them (the complementary/harmonizing aspects that composes the whole) would be absurd.
