Health tourism in Turkey is the most modern and the most advanced, specifically in Istanbul and there’s a good reason for that. Istanbul is the most perfect mosaic to blend modern and traditional, history and future. Therefore, when you decide to have a hair transplant in Istanbul, there are endless tourist spots that you can visit before and after your hair transplant operation to keep you busy.

We gathered some of these spots together for you to visit, so you don’t wander around aimless before and after your hair transplant in Turkey.

1. The Blue Mosque: The Blue Mosque (known as Sultan Ahmed Mosque by the locals) is an imperial mosque that was built during the Ottoman era. The Blue Mosque is actually open to praying as well as visiting. The Mosque is also close to many of the city’s major hotels.

2. The Hagia Sophia: The Hagia Sophia was once a Byzantine cathedral. Then it was converted into a mosque after the Fall of Constantinople. A museum until recently, The Hagia Sophia is now open to praying as well as to visitors. It’s also just a short walk from the Blue Mosque. So it’s always a good idea to visit both of them on the same day.

3. The Topkapi Palace: The Topkapi Palace was a residence to the Ottoman sultans for centuries. After the end of the Ottoman Empire, it was turned into a museum. The Topkapi Palace is now a resident of the most incredible collection of art and artifacts. The museum is located in the Sultanahmet district and can be also visited in the same day you visit The Blue Mosque and The Hagia Sophia.

4. The Grand Bazaar: Welcome to one of the biggest and oldest markets in the world! The Grand Bazaar has over 4000 shops and it’s a must-see for anyone who wants to experience a special shopping experience. The Grand Bazaar is located in the Beyazit district and very close to the Sultanahmet district. If you’re still not tired from your previous walks, it’s just a short walk away from The Blue Mosque, The Hagia Sophia, and The Topkapi Palace.

5. The Spice Bazaar: Also known as Egyptian Bazaar, The Spice Bazaar is another famous market in Istanbul. The Spice Bazaar is THE place if you want to buy spices, Turkish coffee and souvenirs for your loved ones back home. Even though not so far away from the Sultanahmet and the Beyazit districts, we still recommend you to spare a whole day to The Spice Bazaar, you won’t regret it!

6. Dolmabahçe Palace: Dolmabahçe was the main residence of the Ottoman sultans in the 19th century and with the end of the Empire, it’s turned into a museum. Built-in Baroque, Rococo, and Neoclassical styles without foregoing the Ottoman architecture taste, Dolmabahçe is home to many art and historical artifacts. Because it’s in the Beşiktaş district, we suggest you to take your time while visiting Dolmabahçe Palace.
