Millie Bobby Brown

For those who don't know, Millie is the 15 year old lead actress in the Netflix show Stranger Things. She plays one of the leading roles, Eleven, who is a girl with telekinesis powers. First of all, I do not like commenting negatively on a young child and I understand if I'm going to get a lot of hate for it.

In my opinion, I don't see why Millie's acting gets as much attention as it does. She is not a phenomenal actress. She is good, but terribly overhyped. So far it appears as though her only strengths are screaming and crying. The rest of the cast is just as talented as her, escpecially Noah Schnapp. In fact, I don't understand why everyone puts of all the spotlight on her when there are five other children who are equally deserving on it. I don't believe her acting is worth a pay rise of $100,00 to $200,000 more than the others. I was quite surprised to find out she negotiated the pay herself. I didn't even know 14 year olds were legally allowed to negotiate their own pay.

Secondly, I don't understand why she is getting all the attention and ambassador jobs. Currently she is a UNICEF GoodWill Ambassador and UEFA Ambassador. Why? She is 15 years old (14 for UNICEF). I know a dozen other people who are more deserving of being a GoodWill Ambassador than some rich child. What is she going to do as an Ambassador? At her age, there is little to nothing she can do without parental consent or a legal guardian with her. Also, since when has a 15 year old being able to produce films?

I understand that the media is obviously pushing her, dressing her up in fancy outfits so that she looks older and mature (possibly to make people take her seriously) than she is. But, to be quite honest, it's making her come across as quite an obnoxious and stuck up individual.
