When I was nine, my brother, a biological child of my parents, got pissed off at me over a box of Fruit Loops. As he was beating the snot out of me, I told him I was going to call Mom, who was at work. He yelled at me, “She's not your real Mom! You're just an adopted fucking brat!” When I got my Mom on the phone, I asked her, “Am I adopted?” She hung up and came home, and the truth was told to me. Pretty traumatic stuff to learn when you're only 9 years old. But, I am absolutely ok with it....just wish I'd been told the truth by my parents.
