Yes. When my oldest son was in first grade his teacher wasn't very nice. The kids had to raise their hands to go to the bathroom and most of the time she would ignore them.

Well one day my son had to go so he kept raising his hand but she wouldn't acknowledge him. Finally he thought he was going to pee his pants so he just got up and went anyway. So, the teacher about had a stroke and sent him to the office.

Well I was 30 miles away in my sales territory and the school office made it sound like it was some true emergency. I come screeching into the school parking lot, run into the office screaming “where's my son. What happened?” They show me into the principals office where my poor little boy is sitting terrified and again I'm yelling for the principal to tell me what's wrong. And he says “He peed without permission. Three days suspension.”

Needless to say, I went ballistic. I yelled “You dragged me from 30 miles away because he peed?” I was furious. I told him that not only was there going to be NO suspension but also the crap in his room with the teacher refusing to let kids go to the bathroom had better STOP!

From then on my little boy said no one ever had to wait to go to the bathroom again!
