I was young and it was my first time travelling by myself. I had just finished a semester abroad in Chicago but wanted to see more of United states before I went back home. So I booked a tour around south of U.S. I was supposed to meet the rest of the crew in LA. Things didnt really go as expected…For starters, I lost my american phone in the airport. Then when I was on the flight to LA, I realized that my wallet was missing as well. I completely panicked. I looked through my bag 100 times but no luck. Here I would arrive in LA, completely alone with no money at all. But I was lucky. The flight attendants were really sweet and gave me 60 bucks so that I could have some money for food and other necesseties. I am really thankful for that, as without them I would be stuck in the airport and would not to be able to take shuffle to the hotel I booked. But they were not the only angels that day.
There was also a guy who had been sitting behind me and seen my panic attacks during the flight. He approached me by the end of the flight and offered to help me. His flight wouldn’t leave in a while, so he figured he could help me in the meantime. This guy took care of me for 3–4 hours. He was sitting next to me when I was calling my parents. He was standing right next to when I talked to the airport staff. He bought me food for the few dollars he had left. He was trying his best to help me find solutions. I was completely panicked on how to solve the situation but to have him there made me much calmer. I was not alone. But the best part was that he didnt have any intentions with it. He didnt try to hit on me or ask me out. He wholeheartedly wanted to help. To this day I regret I didnt ask for his Facebook or email. Because this guy saved me that day. I have never met someone so kindhearted.
