Unless it’s heavy board (2 cm) or greater, it does not have the capacity to hold much weight as shelving.

It is satisfactory for doors or cabinet fronts, but I would not use it where any moisture will be present.

If I used it for sides or face fronts, I would ensure that those rested on hardwood bases to make sure water did not penitrate into the base of cabinets.
