Honestly, you have to respect what she wants. There’s no use forcing her to stay anyway. Besides, you will just end up getting hurt too.

I don’t intend to generalize, but sometimes the best way to show people that you love them is by setting them free. I consider that an act of genuine love.

If the space you’ve given them helps them assess things better and heals them, they might come back to you. Most importantly, their loyalty while you are both separated matters. You just have to be patient enough as they’re also emotionally struggling.

However, do not wait too long. I mean, some may not come back anymore. Some may find a new partner and move on. They use this reason as an excuse to escape your relationship. This is the hardest part to accept but there’s nothing you can do about it.

No matter the circumstances, just remember that the problem isn’t with you. People leave for a reason and it’s best to always focus on the positive sides of it. I’m sure there’s always one.
