What I am going to write is based on an actual incident that happened when I was in 2nd standard, and that is one of the reasons why it is very close to my heart.
My friend and I were running around, and I pushed him, he fell hard on a bench and blood started pouring out of his forehead. They took him to the nearest clinic for first aid. Yes, it was just an accident, but I was terrified. I was very young, and I was scared about how teachers would react if he tells my name. But he didn't. He got stitches on his forehead. The next day, he came to the school, and I didn't dare to go up to him and say hello. That day, we had a games period. Everyone was playing, but he had to sit alone and watch. I went up to him and said sorry, and he smiled and gave me a bar of chocolate which a teacher had given him. We became best friends after that and remained so for a few years until I left the place. It is nearly ten years now, and I do not know where he is, but the fact that I still remember him says a lot. Maybe we will never meet, but he will always be a part of my life.
