Ahh myself. A terrible year at Suffolk University in Boston. Faculty was more than just fine, but the school itself. I’ve wasted my one year there and now crazily waiting to get accepted to another school in Europe.
I just felt like I never did belong there. Students were very disinterested in classes, they were so disrespectful to others and shallow. University was based on the mentality that students must socialize. Academics weren’t taken seriously. I couldn’t sleep at nights because of extremely loud kids shouting, swearing, barking, watching TV and gaming etc. Walls were paper thin
Staff in housing were vert rude and unhelpful, many in other departments as well.
Tuitions are very high for the quality of school.
No one cleaned the dorms, roommates were extremely dirty in the bathroom and there wasn’t any communication between us to clean around of us. Most of the times i didn’t want to go there and I studied at library up until 11 pm everyday, just went there to sleep (with earplugs all the time. The door was shutting so loudly and girls never paid attention to close it slowly. I was jumping out of my bed, totally scared, and was getting very mad because they were doing it that way although I’ve said multiple times.
Just a very very disappointing experience. College experience in US mostly sucks. Europe is much more in order, proper and serious about education. Especially public universities. Will never ever do such a fault again! I’m even afraid to go to… a private university in any country basically.
