Two female veiled chameleons.
When we got them they were the size of my little finger. Completely adorable.
They're okay. Except when I find random crickets and locusts down the side of the settee. They're not my pets they're my hubby's.
So how are they taken care of? Well they have a heat light each, (once they reached maturity they start fighting so we had to divide their enclosure). They have a UV light, these lights are on for 12/24 hours. They eat crickets, wax worms and locusts. The funny thing about keeping an exotic animal that eats live food is, you have to take care of the food also as in, you are what you eat. So basically we have a cricket pen, the crickets eat fresh veg and salad, they have beads of jellied water, and in the hot weather extra care is taken of the crickets.
The enclosure always makes for good conversation. Basically hubby brought a display cabinet and converted it into a chameleon’s paradise.
