Well, that’s a thought that originated from traditional, patriarchal norms. In the past, men were the head of the household because they are physically tougher, and they are great protectors of the family, especially during war. This led to them gaining greater status in more primitive societies over women.

This is carried on until fairly modern times.

If I am going to consider the “now”, it’s more than just the physical features. Some men are leaders of the household because they portray stronger emotions than women. Perhaps women look up to men as people who are quicker to adjust in a household. Women are quite impulsive, while men are most likely emotionally stable.

That’s how most people assume: that men are the head of the household. Studies show otherwise.

However, studies reveal that women manage households more often than men. Though men are naturally providers and they make money for the family, it is the female counterparts who have embraced the responsibility of managing the home. From doing the laundry to cleaning dishes, grocery shopping, cleaning and beyond, there is plenty to do after the first work shift ends. This shows women are taking on these household responsibilities more than men.
