I don’t know much about others' relationships and situations, but I would always tell people to love and choose themselves over the circumstances that are hurting them. You know, just because you love someone doesn’t mean you have to stick with them despite their mistakes. That is foolishness.
There are certain pains and betrayals we can never undo and sometimes the only choice left is to leave. Ending a marriage can be the toughest move you’ll have to make, and I understand why you are having doubts. But enduring what is not right is more agonizing than letting go.
If the damage caused by someone or the circumstance isn’t worth fighting for, please choose yourself above anything else.
Never disregard your own worth for the sake of not being alone. You might end up feeling emptier, meaningless, and ruin your own peace. You might beg and crave for them even more despite knowing that you deserve better than that. I know it’s scary to be left behind by someone you deeply value, but losing yourself in the process of keeping them is much worse.
