Marriage can still work even when you feel like you’re no longer in love.
Love has its own pace. It also goes through a series of trips, and sometimes, we come to a point where the relationship feels boring, especially in marriage. That’s a hard truth we need to swallow right there. That teenage love will change.
Love matures and evolves. Marriage reflects this because in marriage, we also mature. We become grown ups and our ability to handle emotions evolve.
However, I don't believe that losing the spark means you no longer love your spouse. You lose the thrill, but you’re actually in a calm place (unless there are deeper reasons such as abuse and pain). That’s where you actually feel the deeper aspects of love: That it stays even when things get boring, or even when you feel like there’s no more chemistry.
That’s actually a sign of comfort for me.
