I suggest you ask your band or DJ what songs work best in their experience. They have observed far more receptions than most people and are best qualified to answer.
Your friends, relatives, and Quorans may respond with what songs they enjoyed at a wedding or two, or their own personal favorites. There's no guarantee those work in other partys.
When you pay good money for entertainers, you are hiring their experience. Too often I see clients throw that money away by trying to do the DJ’s job for them (picking songs) and killing their own party.
(If you're not hiring a band/DJ, and are playing your own playlist … nevermind :-)
