Many, many times. In more restaurants than I can count I have ordered a Caesar Salad. What could go wrong?

What I expect is Romaine/Kos lettuce, croutons, Caesar dressing and parmesan savings. Like this:

What do I get instead? Lollo Rosso, the ugly sister of the lettuce family

Mayonnaise instead of Caesar dressing. Bacon bits. Leftover chicken. Cheddar cheese.

Caesar is such a simple dish, but it is one of the classic dishes every restaurant seems to think “I can make this better” and the always make it worse.

Look at this thing - it is not a Caesar Salad!
