Last year, due to the lockdown and working from home, my contact with the outside world was cut down to absolute zero. And at my previous company, I was working 12–16 hours daily. Which meant zero time for me. I was leading an unhealthy lifestyle, no diet whatsoever and the worst part was, no exercising. Prior to the lockdown, I walked for one hour every day in three sessions combined. Needless to say, I was gaining weight and I feared that health complications might arise. So I decided that enough was enough and I need to resume my walking. Now, going outside was not feasible, gyms were closed too. So I bought a treadmill from Amazon for Rs 30,000 and decided I would be using it. At least this would help me maintain my fitness without going outside.

Or at least that was the plan!

In the starting days, I used it regularly. I walked half an hour on it almost every single day. But that only continued for a month. I slowly reduced the duration from half an hour to 20 minutes, then to 15 minutes, slowly to 10. Parallely, from 7 days a week, I started to bring it down to every alternate day and then once or twice a week only. I bought the device in September 2020 and used it on and off till February 2021. In the first week of March, I visited New Delhi to attend a wedding and after coming back, the treadmill is just sitting there at one corner of the house and eating dirt.

Unfortunately, I haven’t used it for one single day in the last three months. A thick layer of dust has formed on it. The treadmill’s belt has transformed from black to grey because of al...

Both of my parents are overweight, and I thought purchasing a Fitbit Alta would give them some incentive to walk around instead of spending countless hours in bed and on the couch. I went ahead and spent $270 for Mothers and Fathers day. Its been well over several weeks, and neither of the two have actually worn it.

My mom will say things like “Oh David, you have to help me charge it.” I’ve done that well over several times.

My dad? He claims he needs another charger because he broke his current. I told him he could share with my mom, and he still hasn’t worn it since.

It isn't like a free app, downloaded from google play, bear seeing ads, using it.

All's fine until the ads were semi-porno.

You cannot explain these ads to parents.

What are you trying to imply xiaomi?
That Indians are pervert people. They get all excited seeing your porno shit and like to watch such derogatory ads.
(Mind you all i dont watch any porn or such videos, in case a cookie scenario is up)

Ad in cleaner app.

You can clearly see the content its pushing.

Ad in mi browser. Ad in gallery. The hell. No one puts so much pesky ads.

What your first thoughts will be, seeing such ads on anyone’s phone.

You are billing 15k, a phone. Phone here is, full of junk and semi-porno adds.

Xiaomi overturned Indian market, the day it entered. Garnered good name among the youths, including me. Been mi user since note series.

Presently using note 4. Four redmi phones, around 50-55k rupees, spent till date.

Dear xiaomi, earlier there was no such issue, why now?
Geekyranjit revealed, mi executives stated its solely in lower variants, absent in higher segment. You emit such non-sense excuse.

Recommended mi to everyone. My siblings use these. They too are fed-up about this.

Once, ma took my phone and up swiped on the home screen. Parents generally use the samsung phones thus they instinctively up swipe, her natural response for every smartphone.

How will you explain these ads to your mom?

What happened next was utter humiliation.
Mi browser opened(its a default setting)
Shady ads appeared. She dropped the phone, red, stating well done!
Picked the phone, mortifying ad large on display. Anger risen blood boiled, a shameful deed, credibility went for toss.

You pronounce, you dont put such ads in higher segment phones. So, you reckon the person paying 16k couldn't afford a 50k phone. One day he can, merely 'cause of your twisted logic, he wont buy miui shit. You think lower segment people arent humans.

Thought of buying mi 10. Since your dual-standing annoyed me and scene with ma. Wont recommend redmi to anyone. You, xiaomi executives, solely responsible for the degradation of miui in india.

MIUI alone occupies 50% ram by default. What the hell are you processing in background?
Sending Indian data to Chinese government or what?

Privacy is totally a joke in India

Call it a rant or hateful speech, your choice. You lost a customer.

Let me tell you one thing straight, xiaomi. Middle class people are the majority in India. They make a company and they alone destroy it. Dont take them for granted. Improve your UI. Or Indians will do it for you.

Thank you for reading.

What I regretted was letting him use my credit cards right before we broke up. He kept swearing he would pay me back, but he never did and ruined my credit. We had a kid together and he stopped seeing him. I had to go to court and he only started paying child support because they took his license away. Some people are there to use you until they find something better. I filed Chapter 7, finally got my credit back. But people can change on you. I am glad that is over with. In the 4 years I lived in that house I went way over budget fixing things up, then the house just started falling apart; I had to replace electrical, plumbing, 2 HVAC systems, hot water heater (after it flooded the whole first floor), termite damage, new roof, some windows, basically everything. If the house problems weren’t enough I had terrible next door neighbors on both sides who left their dogs in their back yards and never cleaned up the dog poop so during the summer the smell often made it unbearable to be in my own backyard. Due to the house problems and some health issues I found myself seriously in debt and had to choose between selling the house and filing bankruptcy, I sold the house and made barely enough to cover my debts. I don’t miss that house at all.

Here’s the thing: I wish I had known these money secrets sooner. They’ve helped so many people save hundreds, secure their family’s future, and grow their bank accounts—myself included.

And honestly? Putting them to use was way easier than I expected. I bet you can knock out at least three or four of these right now—yes, even from your phone.

Don’t wait like I did. Go ahead and start using these money secrets today!

1. Cancel Your Car Insurance

You might not even realize it, but your car insurance company is probably overcharging you. In fact, they’re kind of counting on you not noticing. Luckily, this problem is easy to fix.

Don’t waste your time browsing insurance sites for a better deal. A company called Insurify shows you all your options at once — people who do this save up to $996 per year.

If you tell them a bit about yourself and your vehicle, they’ll send you personalized quotes so you can compare them and find the best one for you.

Tired of overpaying for car insurance? It takes just five minutes to compare your options with Insurify and see how much you could save on car insurance.

2. Ask This Company to Get a Big Chunk of Your Debt Forgiven

A company called National Debt Relief could convince your lenders to simply get rid of a big chunk of what you owe. No bankruptcy, no loans — you don’t even need to have good credit.

If you owe at least $10,000 in unsecured debt (credit card debt, personal loans, medical bills, etc.), National Debt Relief’s experts will build you a monthly payment plan. As your payments add up, they negotiate with your creditors to reduce the amount you owe. You then pay off the rest in a lump sum.

On average, you could become debt-free within 24 to 48 months. It takes less than a minute to sign up and see how much debt you could get rid of.

3. You Can Become a Real Estate Investor for as Little as $10

Take a look at some of the world’s wealthiest people. What do they have in common? Many invest in large private real estate deals. And here’s the thing: There’s no reason you can’t, too — for as little as $10.

An investment called the Fundrise Flagship Fund lets you get started in the world of real estate by giving you access to a low-cost, diversified portfolio of private real estate. The best part? You don’t have to be the landlord. The Flagship Fund does all the heavy lifting.

With an initial investment as low as $10, your money will be invested in the Fund, which already owns more than $1 billion worth of real estate around the country, from apartment complexes to the thriving housing rental market to larger last-mile e-commerce logistics centers.

Want to invest more? Many investors choose to invest $1,000 or more. This is a Fund that can fit any type of investor’s needs. Once invested, you can track your performance from your phone and watch as properties are acquired, improved, and operated. As properties generate cash flow, you could earn money through quarterly dividend payments. And over time, you could earn money off the potential appreciation of the properties.

So if you want to get started in the world of real-estate investing, it takes just a few minutes to sign up and create an account with the Fundrise Flagship Fund.

This is a paid advertisement. Carefully consider the investment objectives, risks, charges and expenses of the Fundrise Real Estate Fund before investing. This and other information can be found in the Fund’s prospectus. Read them carefully before investing.

4. Earn Up to $50 this Month By Answering Survey Questions About the News — It’s Anonymous

The news is a heated subject these days. It’s hard not to have an opinion on it.

Good news: A website called YouGov will pay you up to $50 or more this month just to answer survey questions about politics, the economy, and other hot news topics.

Plus, it’s totally anonymous, so no one will judge you for that hot take.

When you take a quick survey (some are less than three minutes), you’ll earn points you can exchange for up to $50 in cash or gift cards to places like Walmart and Amazon. Plus, Penny Hoarder readers will get an extra 500 points for registering and another 1,000 points after completing their first survey.

It takes just a few minutes to sign up and take your first survey, and you’ll receive your points immediately.

5. Stop Paying Your Credit Card Company

If you have credit card debt, you know. The anxiety, the interest rates, the fear you’re never going to escape… but a website called AmONE wants to help.

If you owe your credit card companies $100,000 or less, AmONE will match you with a low-interest loan you can use to pay off every single one of your balances.

The benefit? You’ll be left with one bill to pay each month. And because personal loans have lower interest rates (AmONE rates start at 6.40% APR), you’ll get out of debt that much faster.

It takes less than a minute and just 10 questions to see what loans you qualify for.

6. Earn Up to $225 This Month Playing Games on Your Phone

Ever wish you could get paid just for messing around with your phone? Guess what? You totally can.

Swagbucks will pay you up to $225 a month just for installing and playing games on your phone. That’s it. Just download the app, pick the games you like, and get to playing. Don’t worry; they’ll give you plenty of games to choose from every day so you won’t get bored, and the more you play, the more you can earn.

This might sound too good to be true, but it’s already paid its users more than $429 million. You won’t get rich playing games on Swagbucks, but you could earn enough for a few grocery trips or pay a few bills every month. Not too shabby, right?

Ready to get paid while you play? Download and install the Swagbucks app today, and see how much you can earn!

Before leaving Japan, I sold most of my collection at BookOff for about 5200 yen, 50 cents (52 yen) per disc, about a 98% loss. Probably my largest single financial loss.

I like my $600 Ford cargo van, but it needs work. I haven’t installed my 300 watt solar panels, controller and 3000 watt inverter yet, until I decide what to do about the engine issues. And it needs repainting. After I remove the old decals.

I wish I had this one instead for $1,000. It comes with a rooftop rack and solar electric setup. Fix the brakes and it’s ready, with 85,000 fewer miles on it. It’s not suspicious looking at all.

I don’t even want that bed.

Unfortunately, I can’t justify having two homeless vans. Only I drive them, and they’re not practical to commute 50 miles a day to work at 12 mpg.

Hi and thanks for the A2A :)

I absolutely hate shopping. There is really hardly anything worse for me to do than going shopping, so before I go to the shops I will think for weeks if I really, really, really need to go. As a result I do not buy many things and if I buy something I will surely need it and use it, therefore I can't remember anything that I would regret buying. Though... maybe there would be one thing I wish I didn't buy, but for very different reasons than majority of people regrets purchasing stuff. Here is some background to the story. It was a few years back. I was passing the community notice board and I read a poster from the local pound about dogs for adoption. One of the adds was picturing a lovely, chocolate-color kelpie-Labrador cross with the writing next to it “On the death-row; as a result of lack of interest in adoption of this dog, she will need to be put down”. She was too lovely to die! She was only 5 months old! Of course I had to rescue her. Straight to the animal shelter and “I am taking her!” I was in a process of moving places and a lot was going on in my life, therefore I couldn't take her then and there. However I paid for a dog-motel for her for the next few weeks and I was taking her on the weekends. The first weekend came and... I had nothing for the dog – I needed a bed and bowls and dog-food and more. I run to a pet-shop and grab what I saw, including the 'special bed' for $12 that turned out to be $120. The price was already a shock, especially that I really struggled with money at that time, but I couldn't return the bed back. Anyway, I came home and I had the wonderful bed. It was a few weeks later when I wished I would never buy the dog-bed... Overnight my dog was staying in a kennel placed inside an open bay of a large shed. One morning I got up, look out of a window pointing to the shed an...

I once met a man who drove a modest Toyota Corolla, wore beat-up sneakers, and looked like he’d lived the same way for decades. But what really caught my attention was when he casually mentioned he was retired at 45 with more money than he could ever spend. I couldn’t help but ask, “How did you do it?”

He smiled and said, “The secret to saving money is knowing where to look for the waste—and car insurance is one of the easiest places to start.”

He then walked me through a few strategies that I’d never thought of before. Here’s what I learned:

1. Make insurance companies fight for your business

Most people just stick with the same insurer year after year, but that’s what the companies are counting on. This guy used tools like Coverage.com to compare rates every time his policy came up for renewal. It only took him a few minutes, and he said he’d saved hundreds each year by letting insurers compete for his business.

Click here to try Coverage.com and see how much you could save today.

2. Take advantage of safe driver programs

He mentioned that some companies reward good drivers with significant discounts. By signing up for a program that tracked his driving habits for just a month, he qualified for a lower rate. “It’s like a test where you already know the answers,” he joked.

You can find a list of insurance companies offering safe driver discounts here and start saving on your next policy.

3. Bundle your policies

He bundled his auto insurance with his home insurance and saved big. “Most companies will give you a discount if you combine your policies with them. It’s easy money,” he explained. If you haven’t bundled yet, ask your insurer what discounts they offer—or look for new ones that do.

4. Drop coverage you don’t need

He also emphasized reassessing coverage every year. If your car isn’t worth much anymore, it might be time to drop collision or comprehensive coverage. “You shouldn’t be paying more to insure the car than it’s worth,” he said.

5. Look for hidden fees or overpriced add-ons

One of his final tips was to avoid extras like roadside assistance, which can often be purchased elsewhere for less. “It’s those little fees you don’t think about that add up,” he warned.

The Secret? Stop Overpaying

The real “secret” isn’t about cutting corners—it’s about being proactive. Car insurance companies are counting on you to stay complacent, but with tools like Coverage.com and a little effort, you can make sure you’re only paying for what you need—and saving hundreds in the process.

If you’re ready to start saving, take a moment to:

Saving money on auto insurance doesn’t have to be complicated—you just have to know where to look. If you'd like to support my work, feel free to use the links in this post—they help me continue creating valuable content.

So, I started looking around and found this:

With the top down, there was absolutely no storage whatsoever. The ground clearance was not much more than 4 inches. And replacing the battery involves removing one of the front fenders. Also, with my height of a little over 6′1″, I almost had to drive with the top down so I could look over the top of the windshield. Otherwise I had to curl my back in the seat a bit to see through the windshield.

About six months after I bought it, I decided to move to Mexico. So, this car spent the next six or seven months sitting in my sister’s garage (thanks Sis and happy birthday!). And since the car was financed, and I still owed money on it, I still had to pay for insurance. When I finally decided that I had no option other than sell it, I had to pay over $3,000 out of pocket to cover the difference between what I owed and what I could get for it.

Hey, it was a beautiful car and a lot of fun to drive. And it definitely got attention. But it also cost me a lot of money. I owned it for a little more than a year; probably put less than 5,000 miles on it during that time, and spent close to $12,000, all told, just for the privilege of owning it.

It gets pretty scary whenever that happens (thinking all the money just went to the garbage). The only solution is to completely reset the earbuds and connect them again with the device. Quite Tedious.
  3. No multiple device connectivity. If I have to use them with my laptop then first I need to unpair them with my phone & pair it again with a laptop. Again very tedious.
  4. Since it's Bluetooth the latency is surely present despite the game mode. Most of the time I feel there's a lag between the video & the audio. Not a soothing experience.
  5. Have to use it carefully. Can't use them like I used to treat the wired earphone. (Just wrap it up and put them into anything & still they will be fine) but these TWS, I don't think it will survive.
  6. I was watching YouTube and there was no sound, I thought maybe phone is on mute but nah. Later to my astonishment, figured out that it's connected to my phone while they are resting inside the case. I mean what kind of glitch is this. Although it happened few times but worth mentioning. Realme should work on these buggy issues and update the firmware asap. To be honest I had high hopes but it is turning out to be a big disappointment.
  7. There's always a battery deficit between the two earbuds. I don't know for what reason it is happening. I charged them fully and used for few minutes and then checked the status. Have a look: (This TWS is CRAZY 😂)

It is noteworthy to mention that it does support AAC codec for better sound quality. I was shocked that not even JBL flip 4 support it despite being a costly device. Good job Realme 👍🏽

Conclusion: I miss using the 3.5 mm jack. They surely are the golden features that phone manufacturers are gradually removing to promote their own set of TWS.

Whenever in future I will need earphones I will go for the wired ones. No one can replace them. As the saying goes—” OLD IS GOLD" and tough too 😄

Edit:— Thank you for upvoting!! My first answer on Quora to get 500 upvotes 🤯❤️

Will be updating this answer if the mentioned issues get resolved by Realme or I encounter any new problem.

Stay Safe Everyone 🙏🏽

Grandad was beside himself, and he made it a point to tell me now that I owned that fancy thing he didn't need to teach me how to use the stones he had.

He passed about 3 months ago. While we were cleaning up the house I found his sharpening stones in a drawer. It brought tears to my eyes thinking about the time I could have spent with him just waiting to get him to work on my stuff. (You can't get time back, it's a hard lesson to learn in life) After I packed them up I noticed a small notebook at the back of the drawer. It had my name on the front and the instructions of how to use his stones in great detail. He always thought to think ahead!

Buying an MSI laptop back then in 2017 is the biggest regret of my life.

And here is the reason of my regret.

I got this laptop back then in 2017, considering its specifications and performance no doubt it was a beast in performance and l thought it would perform well in gamming and multi-task atleast till 2026–27. And this laptop was quite expensive and it costed me ₹139990 to be precise. The built quality of this laptop is really worst in comparison to the price it charges. The laptop is very fragile and is too delicate.

And this laptop was quite expensive and it costed me ₹139990 to be precise. The built quality of this laptop is really worst in comparison to the price it charges. The laptop is very fragile and is too delicate.

Back in January 2020 there was the issue with the display and it flickered while adjusting the display. There was a probable issue with the display cable which passed through the hinge of the laptop.

I thought of taking the laptop to the service center after Holi but due to lockdown and covid situation l couldn't.

After few weeks, the display went complete blank and it was dead completely.

I called the customer care and asked for the probable solution. The customer care guy said that there might be issue with the motherboard but getting the motherboard would be difficult because the laptop was too old and said even if l get the motherboard it would cost me around 70–75k. So the customer care guy suggested me to buy a new laptop.

I mean the laptop is just just 2.5 years old and not a decade old that l won't be getting its spare part. The company is charging such a hefty amount for there product but still there is no proper after sales and service.

And its really upto me whether l would be paying 75k on changing the motherboard or not. Its not there concern to suggest me getting a new laptop instead of paying for the motherboard. These guys aren't even sure wheather they will get the spare motherboard of this laptop.

From this you can imagine how MSI is in terms of there product and services especially in lndia.

My laptop is complete dead and it can't be even be repaired unlike Dell, Hp and Lenovo whose motherboard repairing is also possible and spares parts are also easily available. I took this laptop also to various several repair shops and all of them denied that it can be repaired.

I regret buying this crappy MSI laptop.

Never buy an MSI product in India.

A home bicycle.

Years ago I wanted to spend more time exercising outside of the gym and I convinced my mother and father to buy me a home bicycle to have it in my room. At first I was amazed - I spent as much time as I could on it but eventually I stopped paying attention to it and stopped using it overall. Months passed and the bicycle was in my room and nobody used it. I stopped going to the gym because of my health that was in a terrible state. I used the bike for months and after that, I never used it again. It is still here but in our building basement. What a waste of money.

I was excited the first time I bought it but then my hair started to look like this:

For those of you who dont know it, this is a head massager for people who dont like to scratch their heads when it’s itchy-_-

At first, it felt tingly but then as I started getting used to it, I didnt feel a thing. Plus, all my friends liked to use it and after they left, I could see dandruff. Alot of people have used it and it’s disgusting.

The worst feeling of repentance comes when you put on or loose some weight because, not only are the cloths of no use but also you have to buy more, so yea! You can always mix and match your collection and make miracles happen :-p with what all you have instead of dumping your own unenemptied trash (females can't easily give away their clothes even if they have it since like 8th grade, if it is one of their favorites there no way they gonna leave it rather they plan to save it for their great grand children :-p, jokes apart ). Also it often put us in dilemma , as in to throw or bear.

  • It can hardly get sleep monitoring right. I tested it for a week and it got near to accurate results just for a couple of days.
  • Offers fewer sports mode
  • The noise fit app is a headache and I’ve stopped opening it. The app itself is buggy and its UI is inconsistent. I haven’t received any update for the application or watch to date.
  • The vibration motor feels cheap and its intensity is less on the wrist. It just emits a really bad vibrating sound.

It gets a few things right but fails at a majority of points. I wish I would have invested my money in Amazefit GTS mini which was available for Rupees 7000 at that time, price is higher but it gets most of the things right for that price.

Also, an honorary mention for the band which I bought for Rupees 500. I ordered sand brown colour but received a pink colour strap inside and there was no means to file a return or refund on the noise app.

Overall, shopping for noise product was not a good experience.

Hope this helps

But only after 2 months, all her craze got faded. My parents scolded me for gifting her this stupid item because now it only occupying space in our room. My sister also finds it now useless. Even my mother said to make pillow of cotton inside it.

Although it was not that expensive but useless. I could have purchased something else that is useful for her for long.

My first experience with AirPods was, “Yeah, this is pretty cool. Not mind-blowing, but this is WAY better than anything with a cord.”

Then, I bought a book called, “Getting Things Done.”

Ironically, I didn’t finish the book because I didn’t find the time to sit and read it for any meaningful length of time.

Seeing no other options, I bought the audio book.

My life changed.

Here’s something you should know about me. I’m a painfully slow reader. Three minutes into a book and my brain takes me on an epic adventure, having nothing to do what I’m reading about. Then I go back and reread each sentence about three times.

One book used to take me two months to read.

Now I’m burning through 1–3 books a week.

To me, 150 euros was an incredible amount of money that I saved for ages. I was researching and thinking about this particular phone for months. Should I buy it or not? Especially, because my father kept repeating “are you sure” close to a million times.

Then I was sure, it was the time. I felt the confidence streaming through my veins, it felt right, I'm going to do this. I went to the store and bought the most expensive thing of my life thus far. It felt great behaving and acting as an adult. Spending money on something you wished to be yours for such a long time. Where you put in effort to check whether its reliable, and a decent purchase that could last for years on years.

Oh, it felt good.

After purchasing the phone I was the elevated, relieved, and stupendously proud. I was literally the happiest little guy on the planet. 14 years old, with an amazing phone with a magical screen and I could play games all day. A grin covered my face from left to right.

However, my happiness did not last too long.

Mainly because of the fact that I lost it the same day!

Never found it back.

  • Considering how expensive iPhones are the screens crack/smash easily.
  • iPhones may cost a lot to buy but the chargers are cheap & break quite quickly.
  • Buying a bigger memory iPhone means if you want it all backed up to iCloud that you will have to pay monthly for anything over 5GB.
  • iPhone may have issues transferring photos etc to your computer, so you may not be able to print them off.
  • Even if you buy a 2nd hand Apple laptop to get round this issue, the newer iPhones will likely not sync with older version operating systems.
  • If you purchase music & download it outside of Apple, be warned that Apple will clear your iPhone of music occasionally & you will lose it all.
  • Once you’re using an iPhone, Apple has you LOCKED IN - it’s a pain in the ass to consider going back to Android, as what will happen to all those photo & video memories that you can’t seem to transfer to any other device.
  • The one positive note, taking out insurance on it means you will get a brand new iPhone if the old one breaks & they will upgrade it too - all for the cost of the claim excess fee.

Having been an Android & specifically a Samsung user for many years, I have questioned my decision to change to iPhone for my business. It’s done now though, the choice was made & there’s no going back. I won’t ever buy one again though, however I am locked into Apple universe for the foreseeable future. So the one item that I would not buy if I could turn back time is an Apple iPhone, they are the phone that continually hits the pockets of it’s users.

2018

I moved to Mumbai and took the car with me. It was parked in my apartment’s compound and there were few coconut trees around it. One fine day, I noticed the windshield was broken and there was a dent on the roof of the car as well. The building guard told me that a coconut fell on the car at night. I mean what was the probability of this happening and usually, I never parked near the tree but I was late that night and somebody else took my parking spot.

2019

I parked the car in the basement of my office and came back to Delhi thinking, it will remain safe there as compared to my apartment. One fine day, I got a call from the security of the building and they told me my car was damaged. I asked them, how?

They told me a part of the roof fell on my car and broke the rear windshield. I asked for a picture and believe me it was terrible.

2020

I then moved back to Delhi with my car and in 2020 a rickshaw banged on the side of my car and made multiple deep dents and a dent on the front end.

Before this car, None of the cars my family has owned ever needed insurance or had any major accident.

I have traveled to multiple cities in this car and it has been a little unlucky for me but I definitely enjoy driving HONDA.

Our motorhome. Colossal waste of money given how infrequently we use it and how expensive it is to insure, maintain and keep on the road with the price of gas (it gets about 6 mpg). Fortunately it was a repo and cost about 1/6th the price of new or even new-ish.

A fucking “unused” wedding ring is on top on that list.

A fucking “unused” wedding ring is on top on that list.

Then she ghosted me (she cheated). What did I do with that ring? Well, I threw it to the river where we had our first kiss. Stupid me! But hey, a ring is still cheaper than a divorce, right?

It looked similar to this because the design was matched with the necklace I bought for her on our one year anniversary.

As per our plan we collected at my placeat 9:30 pm with glutton stomach but food was yet to arrive so we made a instant sweet dish(sooji ka halwa)and at 10 pm we all were half of our stomach.

Now we have to wait for 2 more hours to unlock the happiness from bottles but one of my friend was pretty much excited for celebration so she started it at 11 pm by opening bottles and as we had no choice so we all joined her.

At 12:oo midnight we all wished each other and start dancing with full high.

Now the game of alcohol starts in our stomach-

vommit scenes:

2:00 pm :1 st friend.

2:15 pm : 2nd friend.

2:20 pm : 1 st friend.

3:00 pm : Me

3:35 pm : 3rd friend

3:50 pm : 4th friend

4:00 pm : 5th friend(he slept in bathroom)

We all were pretty much exhausted so didn’t eat a single bite of food and as we all were drunked so no one has an idea of putting it into the fridge.

1st january 2016(Morning)-

Everyone woke up with hangover and tried to overcome it with nimbu paani and then it comes to food so we all tried to have it as much as we can but due to hangover we only consumed 1/3rd of total and rest wasted.

That was actually unsurmountable day for me because we wasted 8rotis,2subjis and 8 pieces of kebeb, which was sufficinet to feed 4–5 childrens.

I really don’t like poeple who waste food and that day i was able to feel that hatred for myself.

He took the cover off the engine, which was mounted between the seats, and let me test drive it. It sounded like a race car. The other thing I had repaired was the air conditioner, which set me back $400.

It was frustrating driving it at first , and I regretted it. But, once it was fixed, I got a lot of enjoyment out of it. Front to back was 19 1/2 feet. It had four captain’s swivel chairs, a table, and a bench seat. It comfortingly had room for seven passengers. I used it a lot for camping, sleeping in the back.

I regretted it at first. But the end was better than the beginning.

A car insurance with the minimum coverage!

What a nightmare it has been for us when my husband got into his first car accident. It was only a long swipe on the side and it was impossible for the other driver to get hurt. But of course, the other driver claimed she’s hurt just because my husband was decided to be at fault since it was at an intersection and she had the right of way even if she was speeding. The cost of their claim exceeds my coverage limit and now I have no idea what is going to happen to us.

Last week I bought a Ninja Foodie Mini thinking it would save on energy bills. I live alone and I think it is expensive to put the oven on for one small item. If you live in the UK at the moment you will know what I’m talking about. Well, the young lady had to carry it to the car for me (that should have warned me). The box was huge! I managed to get it into the house and opened the box and was met by a monster of a cooking machine! This was supposed to be the mini version!!!! I could barely lift it out of the box as I am disabled and when I got it into the kitchen I had nowhere to store it. I

It went back in the box and was returned next day.

Car. My family has purchased an Indica for commercial purpose. However the expected returns were not great. Then we thought of selling it. when we got the deal for 2.5 lakhs, I was reluctant to sell it and did let the offer go even after the pressure from my family members to sell it. 6 months later due to an unfortunate accident my mom fell of my bike and was hospitalized. From hospitalization to till now…this car has been proved to be a savior for us. With out this car we couldn't have taken my mother to hospital, couldn't have taken her to functions, weddings, temples and many other places.

Long, long ago, it was my lover’s birthday. I bought him a book that I believed he’d like, and I bought him a caramel/nut apple, rather expensive from one of those fancy chocolate places. He ignored the book, took one bite out of the caramel apple and tossed the rest in the nearest trash can. His behavior was not unusual, but I was in love. A moron in love. I hadn’t yet figured out that loving someone is not nearly enough.

I still regret that caramel apple, a little, after all these years, but it also reminds me how lucky I am now with my long and happy marriage.

An expensive purse.

I take care of it like it’s a baby, I even pull up an extra chair from restaurant so that my purse would have it’s own seat. Ridiculous, I know.

When I started spending too much energy into always looking out for this purse, I begin to wonder what the hell am I doing here. It’s just a purse with a huge price tag. Point is, when you own an item that is taking up your mental energy just to make sure nothing bad happens to it, it’s too much. Delete it from your shopping cart. Your life will be much happier without it.

BTW I’m trying to sell this purse, anyone interested? DM here.

Laptop from Acer

So I bought this laptop on 27th June from flipkart for my online classes , for the first three days it worked very smooth but on the fourth day BSOD (blue screen of death) appeared after couple of minutes the laptop restarted itself and I used it without any issue for the rest of the day.

I thought it was not a big issue.

But since that day, every single day the same problem occurs everytime I start my laptop . Due to this I was unable to attend my classes and rn I at a very critical point in academics.

But since that day, every single day the same problem occurs everytime I start my laptop . Due to this I was unable to attend my classes and rn I at a very critical point in academics.

Then I contacted flikart for exchange , they replied they are only responsible for any physical damage during delivery not for any software or hardware issue .

Thus i contacted acer services (First of all their services are horrible and they don't even pick the call once )

Now let me tell you the series of stuffs that happened

  • They almost took access of my laptop for more than 10 times and downloaded some files each time and claims that the problem is resolved but actually not.
  • Now they sent me an engineer as I filed a complain and this happened 3 times I.e. 3 different engineers paid a visit . They changed the ssd 3 times, ram 1 time and reinstalled windows 2 times. And guess what nothing helped.

Everytime I ask them to exchange the laptop they just send another engineer he will again take half of my month in changing the one or another part and end up with no solution.

They can't resolve a single issue for 2 months , they are not ready to exchange or refund the laptop and I am here stuck with a 50k+ laptop which doesn't even work and hell lot of syllabus pending over my head .

I regret buying this laptop

It's just a waste of my time , physical , mental emotional and financial energy.

I'm really exhausted now

If you have any suggestions please be open in the comment section .

Edit 1:

Finally I got my replacement

So I kept emailing them with warnings of legal action but as you all can guess it didn't work . So finally I registered my complain on National consumer helpline and still kept pressurising them by continuously calling and emailing them. Although their response was same that they will only provide service and will not replace it but somehow they agreed and yesterday I received my replacement from their services center.

4 months of mental pressure , massive hairfall and heavy academics loss was the price of the replacement.

Tip for you all : If you ever get stuck in such a situation like me buy a lot of meds for headache and a good hair oil for hair fall .

Thank you everyone for the suggestions in comment section.

I regret buying two kinds of things -

1. That I did not need. Its like stealing from yourself when you buy what you dont need. Thank fully I rarely if ever do that. So the list might be as long as 5 items and that too not very expensive.
2. The ones i did not pick myself. Like my Lenovo touch screen laptop which my cousin shipped for me but i paid for it. Crappiest computer ever. 1000 US $.

I never regretted so much, the way I felt after buying this:

My smartphone. Earlier when I didn't have a cell phone I had lot of time in my hand. But nowadays half or more of my day is spent with the cell phone. Earlier when I got access to internet it used to be like getting the moon in hand. And now even if for 15 minutes I can't live without using quora, what's app, YouTube. So life was better without smartphone.
